Fatigue Crack Initiation and Growth in Nanocrystalline Ni at Multiple Length‐Scales
Overview of miniaturized in situ SEM fatigue setup and resultant fatigue crack growth data for nanocrystalline Ni. The presented study focuses on the analysis of fatigue crack growth rate (FCGR) in focused ion beam‐notched microcantilevers prepared from nanocrystalline (NC) Ni as a model material.

On the Event-Triggered Controller Design
IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 2020The majority of event-triggered control (ETC) literature concentrates on designing triggering rule while assuming control input to emulate an analog design. In this article, however, both state and output feedback laws are jointly synthesized with the triggering law for nonlinear Lipschitz systems.

Event-Triggered Consensus Bernoulli Filtering
2018 21st International Conference on Information Fusion (FUSION), 2018This paper focuses on reducing communication bandwidth and, consequently, energy consumption in the context of distributed target detection and tracking over a peer-to-peer sensor network. A consensus Bernoulli filter with event-triggered communication is developed by enforcing each node to transmit its local information to the neighbors only when a ...

Event-Triggered Distributed Multitarget Tracking
IEEE Transactions on Signal and Information Processing over Networks, 2019This paper focuses on reducing communication bandwidth and, consequently, energy consumption in the context of distributed multitarget tracking over a peer-to-peer sensor network. A consensus cardinalized probability hypothesis density (CCPHD) filter with event-triggered communication is developed by enforcing each node to broadcast its local ...

Periodic asynchronous event-triggered control
2016 IEEE 55th Conference on Decision and Control (CDC), 2016Asynchronous event-triggered control (AETC) is a control strategy proposed for wireless networked implementations whose sensor nodes have limited energy supplies. Local thresholds allow the sensors to sample and to transmit local measurements independently of each other.

Periodic Event-Triggered Control
2018Recent developments in computer and communication technologies are leading to an increasingly networked and wireless world. This raises new challenging questions in the context of networked control systems, especially when the computation, communication, and energy resources of the system are limited.

The objective of this chapter is to extend the small-gain-based event-trigger design to nonlinear uncertain systems with partial-state or output feedback. For nonlinear systems with only partial state available to feedback, it is nontrivial to design static event triggers for asymptotic stabilization even if the system is disturbance-free.

Event-triggered output robust controller
2017 25th Mediterranean Conference on Control and Automation (MED), 2017Event-triggered output robust control algorithm is proposed in the paper. Controller synthesis is based on the consecutive compensator method. Event-trigger mechanism is based on the high-gain state observer. Developed controller provide input-to-state practical stability of unstable linear plants under conditions of parametric uncertainties and ...

In this chapter, some general ideas and basic results on event-triggered sampling are introduced. The process considered is described by a first-order stochastic differential equation. The goal is to provide the readers with some general understanding and impression on how event-triggered sampling leads to better control performance and how sampling ...
