In this chapter, some general ideas and basic results on event-triggered sampling are introduced. The process considered is described by a first-order stochastic differential equation. The goal is to provide the readers with some general understanding and impression on how event-triggered sampling leads to better control performance and how sampling ...

Event-triggered output robust controller
2017 25th Mediterranean Conference on Control and Automation (MED), 2017Event-triggered output robust control algorithm is proposed in the paper. Controller synthesis is based on the consecutive compensator method. Event-trigger mechanism is based on the high-gain state observer. Developed controller provide input-to-state practical stability of unstable linear plants under conditions of parametric uncertainties and ...

The objective of this chapter is to extend the small-gain-based event-trigger design to nonlinear uncertain systems with partial-state or output feedback. For nonlinear systems with only partial state available to feedback, it is nontrivial to design static event triggers for asymptotic stabilization even if the system is disturbance-free.

On Minimum-Variance Event-Triggered Control
IEEE Control Systems Letters, 2017We study the problem of minimum-variance event-triggered output-feedback control of linear time-invariant processes driven by white Gaussian noise. We show that the optimal event generation is separated from the controller configuration and can be determined by solving an optimal stopping problem.

The Events Triggering This Book
2004The writing of this book was spurred by the dramatic escalation in brutal terrorism toward the start of the third millennium, and especially the catastrophic events of September 11, 2001 in the United States,as well as the relentless wave of suicide bombers in Israel during the ensuing period. The urgent need to address the psychological aftermath of ...

Periodic Event-Triggered Consensus With Quantization
IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems II: Express Briefs, 2016This brief addresses the periodic event-triggered consensus problem for multiagent systems with quantized information communication over directed topology. The combined effect of periodic event-triggered control and quantized control on the consensus problem is investigated. Both the uniform and logarithmic quantizers are considered.

Event triggered Holonic organisation formation
International Journal of Intelligent Systems Technologies and Applications, 2007Internet based distributed collaborative commerce must resolve two problems first. One is what the organisation shape is and the other is how to establish an efficient and active organisation. In this paper, we focus on the organisation formation and propose a dynamic self-organising mechanism to form a Holonic organisation shape spontaneously.

A Layered Event-Triggered Consensus Scheme
IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics, 2017This paper studies the dynamics of multiagent systems with a multilayer structure, proposing a novel layered event-triggered scheme (LETS) for consensus. This LETS emphasizes on synchronous information transmission in the same layer but asynchronous message update between different layers, which differs from the existing centralized or distributed ...
