NFDI MatWerk Ontology (MWO): A BFO‐Compliant Ontology for Research Data Management in Materials Science and Engineering

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This article presents the NFDI‐MatWerk Ontology (MWO), a Basic Formal Ontology‐based framework for interoperable research data management in materials science and engineering (MSE). Covering consortium structures, research data management resources, services, and instruments, MWO enables semantic integration, Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and ...

PENGEMBANGAN RISK ASSESSMENT DALAM EVALUASI MANAJEMEN PENANGGULANGAN KEBAKARAN MELALUI FAULT TREE ANALYSIS

open access: yesUnnes Journal of Public Health, 2016

Using Feynman's Tree Theorem to Evaluate Loop Integrals Numerically

open access: yes, 2010
We report on a new method for the numerical evaluation of loop integrals, based on the Feynman Tree Theorem. The loop integrals are replaced by phase-space integration over fictitious extra on-shell particles.

Investigation of Laser Ablation and Brush Pre‐Treatments for AlCu Cold Roll Bonding in Oxygen‐Free Conditions

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
It is shown that laser ablation pretreatment under oxygen‐free conditions enables copper–aluminium bonding at significantly lower deformation degrees and improved properties compared to mechanical brushing. Laser ablation further increases interface contact area and induces favourable residual stress states and microstructural compatibility ...

A top-down iteration algorithm for Monte Carlo method for probability estimation of a fault tree with circular logic

open access: yesNuclear Engineering and Technology, 2018
Calculating minimal cut sets is a typical quantification method used to evaluate the top event probability for a fault tree. If minimal cut sets cannot be calculated or if the accuracy of the quantification result is in doubt, the Monte Carlo method can ...

Microstructural Evolution and Vacancy Defect Formation in Mn–Mo–Ni RPV Steel Under Low Cycle Fatigue: Insights From EBSD and PALS

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Low‐cycle fatigue damage in Mn–Mo–Ni reactor pressure vessel steel is examined using a combined electron backscatter diffraction and positron annihilation lifetime spectroscopy approach. The study correlates texture evolution, dislocation substructure development, and vacancy‐type defect formation across uniform, necked, and fracture regions, providing

A construction of a $\beta$-coalescent via the pruning of Binary Trees

open access: yes, 2012
Considering a random binary tree with $n$ labelled leaves, we use a pruning procedure on this tree in order to construct a $\beta(3/2,1/2)$-coalescent process. We also use the continuous analogue of this construction, i.e. a pruning procedure on Aldous's

Characterization of Nitinol Produced by Laser Powder Bed Fusion for Mechanical Metamaterial Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Stabilization of L‐PBF Ni50.7Ti49.3 under low‐cycle loading was investigated. Recoverable strain after cycling was dependent on the amount of applied load. Recovery ratio was 53.4% and 35.1% at intermediate and high load, respectively. The maximum total strain reached 10.3% at a high load of 1200 MPa.

Research on Time-Dependent Failure Modeling Method of Integrating Discrete Dynamic Event Tree With Fault Tree

open access: yesFrontiers in Energy Research, 2019
Classical PRA methods such as Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) and Event Tree Analysis (ETA) are characterized as static methods due to predetermined event sequences and success criteria of frontline systems.

Impact of pine looper defoliation in Scots pine [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
Widespread defoliation of forests caused by insects or fungi cause economic losses throughout the world. Successful outbreak management involves cost/benefit estimation and requires knowledge of potential yield losses. Currently, such knowledge is scarce.
