Mild Focal Cooling Decouples Dendrites to Reconfigure Cortical Output
Mild cooling of the cortical surface selectively modulates apical dendritic excitability, plasticity, and somato‐dendritic coupling, while uncoupling these effects from basal dendrites, and reshapes apical‐driven responses in barrel cortex during whisker touch.

Somatosensory and Motor-Evoked Potentials in Spinal Surgery [PDF]
Background: Spinal surgeries could be a high risk of injury to the spinal cord, spinal nerves, and or blood vessels that may result in neurological deficits, such as paralysis, muscle weakness, pain, sphincteric disturbances, and sexual dysfunction. Aim:

Effects of ethylenediamine – a putative GABA-releasing agent – on rat hippocampal slices and neocortical activity in vivo [PDF]
The simple diamine diaminoethane (ethylenediamine, EDA) has been shown to activate GABA receptors in the central and peripheral nervous systems, partly by a direct action and partly by releasing endogenous GABA.

Bone cancer pain and depression share a common origin: astrocytic A2‐to‐A1 transition in the posterior piriform cortex. This phenotypic shift disrupts the ATP–adenosine–A2AR–norepinephrine axis, simultaneously driving nociceptive and affective dysfunction.

Depletion of p75NTR in Schwann Cells Driven by Inflammation Mediates Cutaneous Pain in Psoriasis
Psoriasis‐like inflammation induces proliferation and molecular remodeling of cutaneous Schwann cells, marked by reduced p75NTR and increased NGF expression. IL‐17A promotes this process, whereas Schwann cell‐specific p75NTR overexpression alleviates cutaneous pain in vivo.

Altered stimulus frequency and intensity dependence of the somatosensory evoked potential in rats after acute application of two mitochondrial toxins [PDF]
Mitochondrial toxins are a special group of toxicants with nervous system ef TRACT - fects. The resulting nervous system damage could be detected and followed-up by means of functional biomarkers but these still have to be worked out.

Mechanically and electrically evoked somatosensory potentials in normal humans. [PDF]
Somatosensory potentials evoked by mechanical stimulation of the fingernail and electrical stimulation of the nerve in the finger and at the wrist were recorded by surface electrodes over; (1) the digital nerve in the index finger, (2) the median nerve ...
