Survivin and Aurora Kinase A control cell fate decisions during mitosis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aurora A interacts with survivin during mitosis and regulates its centromeric role. Loss of Aurora A activity mislocalises survivin, the CPC and BubR1, leading to disruption of the spindle checkpoint and triggering premature mitotic exit, which we refer to as ‘mitotic slippage’.

Processi di controllo con parametri distribuiti in insiemi non limitati. Controllabilità con luogo iniziale variabile

open access: yesLe Matematiche, 2005
We study the controllability with variable initial locus of some distributed parameter linear control system. In this setting, we study the controllability of such system from a given initial state, to be attained on the variable initial locus, to an ...

CDK11 inhibition induces cytoplasmic p21WAF1 splice variant by p53 stabilisation and SF3B1 inactivation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CDK11 inhibition stabilises the tumour suppressor p53 and triggers the production of an alternative p21WAF1 splice variant p21L, through the inactivation of the spliceosomal protein SF3B1. Unlike the canonical p21WAF1 protein, p21L is localised in the cytoplasm and has reduced cell cycle‐blocking activity.

Exact Null Controllability, Stabilizability, and Detectability of Linear Nonautonomous Control Systems: A Quasisemigroup Approach

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2018
In the theory control systems, there are many various qualitative control problems that can be considered. In our previous work, we have analyzed the approximate controllability and observability of the nonautonomous Riesz-spectral systems including the ...

Reduced vascular leakage correlates with breast carcinoma T regulatory cell infiltration but not with metastatic propensity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A mouse model for vascular normalization and a human breast cancer cohort were studied to understand the relationship between vascular leakage and tumor immune suppression. For this, endothelial and immune cell RNAseq, staining for vascular function, and immune cell profiling were employed.

Exact controllability for a wave equation with mixed boundary conditions in a non-cylindrical domain

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2014
In this article we study the exact controllability of a one-dimensional wave equation with mixed boundary conditions in a non-cylindrical domain. The fixed endpoint has a Dirichlet-type boundary condition, while the moving end has a Neumann-type ...

Intein‐based modular chimeric antigen receptor platform for specific CD19/CD20 co‐targeting

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CARtein is a modular CAR platform that uses split inteins to splice antigen‐recognition modules onto a universal signaling backbone, enabling precise, scarless assembly without re‐engineering signaling domains. Deployed here against CD19 and CD20 in B‐cell malignancies, the design supports flexible multi‐antigen targeting to boost T‐cell activation and

Exact controllability for nonlinear thermoviscoelastic plate problem

open access: yesDemonstratio Mathematica
In this article, we consider a problem of exact controllability in the processes described by a nonlinear damped thermoviscoelastic plate. First, we prove the global well-posedness result for the nonlinear functions that are continuous with respect to ...

Improving PARP inhibitor efficacy in bladder cancer without genetic BRCAness by combination with PLX51107

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Clinical trials on PARP inhibitors in urothelial carcinoma (UC) showed limited efficacy and a lack of predictive biomarkers. We propose SLFN5, SLFN11, and OAS1 as UC‐specific response predictors. We suggest Talazoparib as the better PARP inhibitor for UC than Olaparib.

Cytoplasmic p21 promotes stemness of colon cancer cells via activation of the NFκB pathway

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytoplasmic p21 promotes colorectal cancer stem cell (CSC) features by destabilizing the NFκB–IκB complex, activating NFκB signaling, and upregulating BCL‐xL and COX2. In contrast to nuclear p21, cytoplasmic p21 enhances spheroid formation and stemness transcription factor CD133.
