Circular RNA expression landscapes in myelodysplastic neoplasms: Associations with mutational signatures and disease progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In this explorative study, the abundance of circular RNA molecules in bone marrow stem cells was found to be elevated in patients with high‐risk myelodysplastic neoplasms, and to be associated with an increased risk of progression to acute myeloid leukemia.

Exact SINR Statistics in the Presence of Heterogeneous Interferers

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Information Theory, 2015
We derive new results for the higher order moments of signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio (SINR) in the presence of an arbitrary Poisson point process (PPP)-based heterogeneous interference field.

Parity-dependent double degeneracy and spectral statistics in the projected dice lattice [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical review B
We investigate the spectral statistics of an interacting fermionic system derived by projecting the Hubbard interaction onto the two lowest-energy, degenerate flat bands of the dice lattice subjected to a $\pi$-flux.

EDNRB‐dependent endothelin signaling reduces proliferation and promotes proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition in gliomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

On the exact moments of non-standard asymptotic distributions in non stationary autoregressions with dependent errors [PDF]

open access: yes, 1995
In this paper we derive the exact moments of the asymptotic distributions of the OLS estimate and t-statistic in an unstable AR(1) with dependent errors.

Engineered extracellular vesicles enriched with the miR‐214/199a cluster enhance the efficacy of chemotherapy in ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer. Engineered small extracellular vesicles (m214‐sEVs) elevate miR‐214‐3p/miR‐199a‐5p in tumor cells, suppress β‐catenin, TLR4, and YKT6 signaling, reprogram tumor‐derived sEV cargo, reduce chemoresistance and migration, and enhance carboplatin efficacy and survival in ...

Bootstrap Inference in a Linear Equation Estimated by Instrumental Variables [PDF]

open access: yes
We study several tests for the coefficient of the single right-hand-side endogenous variable in a linear equation estimated by instrumental variables.

Asymptotic Characteristic of Exact Distribution of Fracture Strength Based on Gamma Distribution as Initial Flaw Size Distribution

open access: yes, 2009
In this paper, an exact distribution of fracture strength was derived from extreme value statistics for an initial distribution of flaw size, via conversion to an exact distribution of largest flaw size.

Exact inter-discharge interval distribution of motor unit firing patterns with gamma model

open access: yesMedical and Biological Engineering and Computing, 2019
Inter-discharge interval distribution modeling of the motor unit firing pattern plays an important role in electromyographic decomposition and the statistical analysis of firing patterns.

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.
