Null controllability of one-dimensional parabolic equations by the flatness approach [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
We consider linear one-dimensional parabolic equations with space dependent coefficients that are only measurable and that may be degenerate or singular.Considering generalized Robin-Neumann boundary conditions at both extremities, we prove the null ...

Loss of IGF‐1R impairs DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin leading to defective end‐joining

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
IGF‐1R promotes radioresistance by facilitating DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin, enabling non‐homologous end‐joining (NHEJ) repair of double‐strand breaks. Inhibition or loss of IGF‐1R disrupts this recruitment to damage sites, driving compensatory reliance on microhomology‐mediated end‐joining (MMEJ) repair.

Local Exact One-Sided Boundary Null Controllability of Entropy Solutions to a Class of Hyperbolic Systems of Balance Laws [PDF]

open access: yesSIAM Journal of Control and Optimization, 2017
We consider nxn hyperbolic systems of balance laws in one-space dimension under the assumption that all negative (resp. positive) characteristics are linearly degenerate.

Differential regulation of ZFAS1 splice variants by endoplasmic reticulum stress in hepatocyte cell lines

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
ZFAS1 is a lncRNA promoting cell proliferation and migration, exhibiting high expression in various cancers. It is conserved, widely expressed, and produces multiple splice variants with unclear roles. We identified several splice variants in hepatocyte models, and found that inhibiting or suppressing regulators of the unfolded protein response (PERK ...

Some controllability results for the N-Dimensional Navier-Stokes and Boussinesq systems with N-1 scalar controls [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
In this paper we deal with some controllability problems for systems of the Navier-Stokes and Boussinesq kind with distributed controls supported in small sets.

Hardy inequality and Pohozaev identity for operators with boundary singularities: some applications [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
We consider the Schr\"{o}dinger operator $A_\l:=-\D -\l/|x|^2$, $\l\in \rr$, when the singularity is located on the boundary of a smooth domain $\Omega\subset \rr^N$, $N\geq 1$ The aim of this Note is two folded.

Mutant NPM1 in Acute Myeloid Leukemia Initiation and Maintenance

open access: yesAging and Cancer, EarlyView.
NPM1 mutations drive acute myeloid leukemia by acting as neomorphic transcriptional regulators that cooperate with Menin–MLL and XPO1 to sustain HOX/MEIS1 expression and block differentiation. Targeting these mutant‐specific transcriptional dependencies provides a rational therapeutic strategy for NPM1‐mutated AML.

Functional Connectivity Linked to Cognitive Recovery After Minor Stroke

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Patients with minor stroke exhibit slowed processing speed and generalized alterations in functional connectivity involving frontoparietal cortex (FPC). The pattern of connectivity evolves over time. In this study, we examine the relationship of functional connectivity patterns to cognitive performance, to determine ...

On exact controllability of linear time delay systems of neutral type [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
The problem of exact null controllability is considered for linear neutral type systems with distributed delay. A characterization of this problem is given. The minimal time of controllability is precised.

Super‐Refractory Status Epilepticus (SRSE) in a Patient With Compound Heterozygous OPA1 Variants: Case Report and Literature Review

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Super‐Refractory Status Epilepticus (SRSE) is a rare, life‐threatening neurological emergency with unclear etiology in many cases. Mitochondrial dysfunction, often due to disease‐causing genetic variants, is increasingly recognized as a cause, with each gene producing distinct pathophysiological mechanisms.
