Initial Distribution of Average Excess Pore Water Pressure Due to a Trapezoidal Load
A numerical integration procedure is used to evaluate the equations which give the initial distribution of excess pore water pressure in a subsoil due to a trapezoidal surface load, such as a highway embankment, and a series of curves are provided for a broad range of geometrical variations.

Early‐life exposure to a high‐fat diet altered intact Achilles tendons in rat offspring, making them thinner, stiffer, and molecularly distinct even without injury. These findings suggest that developmental high‐fat diet exposure may impair tendon quality and increase susceptibility to mechanical overload or tendon injury later in life.
