Enzymatic fatty acid exchange in digalactosyldiacylglycerol

Chemistry and Physics of Lipids, 2000
Six different lipases were screened for their ability of acidolysis between digalactosyldiacylglycerol (DGDG) and heptadecanoic acid in toluene. Lipases from Geotrichum candidum, Alcaligenes sp. and Penicillium camembertii did not catalyse the acidolysis reaction.

Acidity and Aluminum Speciation in Biochar Amended Tropical Soils

Communications in Soil Science and Plant Analysis, 2022
Soil acidification in the tropics has become a more pressing issue due to its associated aluminum (Al) phytotoxicity. The chemical reactive nature of biochar can alter Al speciation in soils.

Acid deuterium exchange in benzazoles

Chemistry of Heterocyclic Compounds, 1986
The kinetics of acid deuterium exchange in benzazoles carrying electron-donor substituents in the 5-, 6-, or 7-positions have been studied. Mass spectrometric studies have shown that exchange in 5-methoxy-1, 2-dimethylbenzimidazole takes place exclusively at one position in the benzene ring, in 5-chloro-, 7-chloro-,5-methoxy-2-methylbenzothiazole and 6-

Weak acid ion exchange membranes

Die Angewandte Makromolekulare Chemie, 1989
AbstractWeak acid ion exchange membranes were prepared by pressing methyl acrylate/methyl methacrylate and methyl acrylate/butyl methacrylate copolymers into the film form. Before shaping, the copolymers were hydrolysed in an alkaline solution (heterogeneous system).

Ion-exchange chromatographic analysis of peroxynitric acid

Journal of Chromatography A, 2016
Ion-exchange chromatographic analysis of peroxynitric acid (O2NOOH) was performed by combining an acidic eluate with an UV-vis detector and immersing the separation column in an ice-water bath. The decomposition behavior of peroxynitric acid in the solution was also studied using this system.

Soil acidity and aluminum speciation affected by liming in the conversion of a natural pasture from the Brazilian Campos Biome into no-tillage system for grain production

Archives of Agronomy and Soil Science, 2020
The conversion of Pampa Biome soils into no-till system for grain production requires acidity correction, at least to fully neutralize exchangeable aluminum (Al).

Exchange reactions and phosphoglyceric acid in photosynthesis

Archives of Biochemistry and Biophysics, 1952
Abstract Experiments have been described in which total fixation of carbon dioxide in short periods of photosynthesis has been studied simultaneously with the fixation in the carboxyl of phosphoglyceric acid. These kinetic studies have shown that the labeling of phosphoglyceric acid represents a step in the photosynthetic process and is not due to an

Exchange diffusion in acid-filled gastric pouches

Journal of Surgical Research, 1969
Abstract The reduction of acidity in acid-filled innervated and denervated canine, gastric pouches increased with increasing concentrations of HCl within the lumen. This increasing acidity reduction occurred without an increase in volume, which could be attributed to a non-parietal alkaline secretion entering the lumen.

Effect of gypsum rates and lime with different reactivity on soil acidity and crop grain yields in a subtropical Oxisol under no-tillage

Soil & Tillage Research, 2019
The low solubility of lime (CaCO3) and the absence of soil disturbance in fields under no-tillage (NT) may diminish the effectiveness of surface liming to reduce exchangeable Al3+ (toxic to plants) and increase the base saturation in deep soil layers ...

Application forms and types of soil acidity corrective: Changes in depth chemical attributes in long term period experiment

Soil & Tillage Research, 2019
The main interest of the soils acidity correction is to neutralize the exchangeable Al3+, since the presence of this form of Al in the soil restricts root growth and, consequently, decreases the productivity of sensitive crops.
