Excitation Tunable Tip Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Tip-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (TERS) is a powerful tool to investigate chemical composition, for obtaining molecular information and for recording images with a spatial resolution on the nanometer scale.

Dynamical Manipulation of Surface Plasmon Polaritons

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2019
As the fundamental and promising branch of nanophotonics, surface plasmon polaritons (SPP) with the ability of manipulating the electromagnetic field on the subwavelength scale are of interest to a wide spectrum of scientists.

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Predicting sexual problems in women: The relevance of sexual excitation and sexual inhibition

open access: yes, 2007
This is the post-print version of the article. The official published version can be obtained from the link below.Data from a non-clinical sample of 540 heterosexual women were used to examine the relationships between scores on the Sexual Excitation ...

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

Broadband-excitation-based mechanical spectroscopy of highly viscous tissue-mimicking phantoms

open access: yes, 2021
Standard rheometers assess mechanical properties of viscoelastic samples up to 100~Hz, which often hinders the assessment of the local-scale dynamics. We demonstrate that high-frequency analysis can be achieved by inducing broadband Rayleigh waves and ...

Bidirectional Regulation of GABAA Reversal Potential in the Adult Brain: Physiological and Pathological Implications

open access: yesLife
In physiological conditions, the intracellular chloride concentration is much lower than the extracellular. As GABAA channels are permeable to anions, the reversal potential of GABAA is very close to that of Cl−, which is the most abundant free anion in ...

The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.
