ELECTRONIC CONTROL OF MOLECULAR CONFIGURATION INSTABILITY VIA VIBRONIC COUPLING. PSEUDO JAHN-TELLER STABILIZATION OF VERTICALLY EXCITED STATES OF F2CO, N2H2 AND H2C2O MOLECULES [PDF]

open access: yesChemistry Journal of Moldova: General, Industrial and Ecological Chemistry, 2014
The pseudo Jahn-Teller effect is employed to explain the origin of distortions of carbonyl fluoride, diazene and ketene molecules in the lowest singlet and triplet excited states. The ground state and the excited electronic states of considered molecules

Identification of excited states in 140Dy

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2002
Excited structures in the proton-rich nucleus 140Dy have been established following the decay of an 8- isomer. The excitation energy of the isomer is established to be 2.16 MeV with a half-life of 7.3 ± 1.5 ps. The isomer decays into the yrast line at the 8+ state, revealing a rotational band with a deduced deformation of β2 = 0.24(3).

The Electron Localization Function in Excited States: The Case of the Ultra-Fast Proton Transfer of the Salicylidene Methylamine

open access: yes, 2019
The physical characterization of the chemical bond in the ground state has been a central theme to theoretical chemistry. Among many techniques, quantum chemical topology (QCT) has emerged as a robust technique to understand the features of the chemical ...

A search for excited states of 3He

open access: yesNuclear Physics A, 1967
The ^3He+^3He interaction does not excite sharp states of ^3He with a cross section larger than 120 μb · sr^(−1) below 30 MeV excitation.

One size does not fit all: An in vitro evaluation of the effects of bezafibrate and medroxyprogesterone acetate on human SH‐SY5Y and U‐87 MG cancer cells

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Drugs previously repurposed to target blood cancers reduced neuroblastoma and glioblastoma cell growth and viability. However, their levels of anticancer activity were different and their clinical application may be problematic due to side effects at effective doses.

Density-Driven Correlations in Many-Electron Ensembles: Theory and Application for Excited States

open access: yes, 2019
Density functional theory can be extended to excited states by means of a unified variational approach for passive state ensembles. This extension overcomes the restriction of the typical density functional approach to ground states, and offers useful ...
