Excited States and Collectivity in 88Se
The γ decays of excited states in the very neutron-rich nucleus 88Se have been observed following the cold neutron-induced fission of 235U at the PF1B facility of the Institut Laue-Langevin (ILL), Grenoble.

Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

A present status of experimentally observed states of excited charmed baryons is given. The classification of charmed baryons is presented, a quark model for ground states is briefly described, and the energy levels of excited states are analyzed.

Paramagnetic excited vortex states in superconductors
We consider excited vortex states, which are vortex states left inside a superconductor once the external applied magnetic field is switched off and whose energy is lower than of the normal state.

Excited state reversal in copper iodide clusters enables 100% exciton radiation
The non-radiative metallic core (MC) centered lowest excited states of most ligand-stabilized metallic clusters commonly quench radiative but high-lying ligand-centered excited states, e.g.

Augmented collisional ionization via excited states in XUV cluster interactions
The impact of atomic excited states is investigated via a detailed model of laser-cluster interactions, which is applied to rare gas clusters in intense femtosecond pulses in the extreme ultraviolet (XUV).

Raman‐based label‐free microscopic analysis of the pancreas in living zebrafish larvae
Forward stimulated Raman scattering (F‐SRS) and epi coherent anti‐Stokes Raman scattering (E‐CARS) allow label‐free discrimination of distinct subcellular structures in the pancreas of living zebrafish larvae. Given the straightforward applicability, we anticipate broad implementation of Raman microscopy in other organs and across various biomedical ...
