An analytic study on the excited states of holographic superconductors
Based on the Sturm-Liouville eigenvalue problem, we develop a general analytic technique to investigate the excited states of the holographic superconductors.

Dynamic polarizabilities and magic wavelengths for dysprosium
We theoretically study dynamic scalar polarizabilities of the ground and select long-lived excited states of dysprosium, a highly magnetic atom recently laser cooled and trapped.

A tri‐culture of iPSC‐derived neurons, astrocytes, and microglia treated with ferroptosis inducers as an Induced ferroptosis model was characterized by scRNA‐seq, cell survival, and cytokine release assays. This analysis revealed diverse microglial transcriptomic changes, indicating that the system captures key aspects of the complex cellular ...

Entanglement Entropy In Excited States [PDF]
Negli ultimi anni l’entropia di entaglement è stata ampiamente studiata nel campo dell‘integrabilità. Con l‘introduzione del modello a replica è stato possibile portare alla luce le proprietà universali dell’ entropia di entanglement di un sistema ...

Dynamical Evolution of Boson Stars II: Excited States and Self-Interacting Fields
The dynamical evolution of self-gravitating scalar field configurations in numerical relativity is studied. The previous analysis on ground state boson stars of non-interacting fields is extended to excited states and to fields with self couplings ...

Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...

Local Density Approximation for Excited States
The ground state of an homogeneous electron gas is a paradigmatic state that has been used to model and predict the electronic structure of matter at equilibrium for nearly a century.

Promiscuous stimulation of HSP70 ATPase activity by parasite‐derived J‐domains
The malaria parasite Plasmodium falciparum exports three highly homologous yet functionally divergent J‐domain proteins into human erythrocytes. Here, we show that J‐domains isolated from all three proteins effectively stimulate the ATPase activity of both endogenous host and exported parasite HSP70 chaperones.

Excited-state Forces within a First-principles Green's Function Formalism
We present a new first-principles formalism for calculating forces for optically excited electronic states using the interacting Green's function approach with the GW-Bethe Salpeter Equation method.

Single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assays for high‐throughput DNA–protein interaction studies
We describe an optimised single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assay that visualises DNA–protein interactions in real time. Linear DNA fragments are tethered to a surface and stretched by buffer flow for fluorescence imaging. Using λ and φX174 DNA, this protocol enhances reproducibility and accessibility, providing a versatile approach for studying diverse ...
