Advances in Wearable Thermoelectric Devices: Strategies for Enhancing Wearability and Performance

open access: yesSmall Science, Volume 6, Issue 9, September 2026.
This review introduces wearable thermoelectric devices as body‐integrated systems rather than isolated energy devices. It explains how their performance depends not only on thermoelectric materials but also on skin contact, mechanical compliance, electrical interfaces, and heat‐flow design.

A 4D geometric morphometrics workflow to quantify complex biological motion

open access: yesMethods in Ecology and Evolution, Volume 17, Issue 9, Page 2616-2628, September 2026.
Abstract Quantifying biological motion is fundamentally tied to quantifying the biological structures that produce that motion. Yet, this dependence makes it essential to decouple motion from static morphology to enable general, comparable analyses across individuals and conditions. In this work, we present a methodological pipeline to study biological

Nasal Airway Transcriptome Reflects Selected Asthma‐Associated Gene Signatures in the Lower Airways

open access: yesAllergy, Volume 81, Issue 9, Page 3197-3205, September 2026.
Seven genes and two gene modules were consistently associated with asthma in both airway compartments in ARMS and were validated in ATLANTIS. The two modules reflected IL‐13 related inflammation and mast cell activity, respectively. Nasal gene signatures provide a non‐invasive proxy for selected bronchial asthma‐associated gene signatures. Longer Asthma Duration Is Associated With Elevated Non‐T2 Sputum Biomarkers and Reduced T2 Inflammation in Severe Asthma

open access: yesAllergy, Volume 81, Issue 9, Page 3286-3299, September 2026.
Longer asthma duration is associated with increased airway non‐T2 inflammation and reduced airway and systemic T2 inflammation. Sputum CXCL9 is independently associated with duration and may predict a reduced poor response to anti‐IL‐4Rα therapy. Airway sampling and combined T2 and non‐T2 targeted strategies may be needed in long‐standing asthma. CXCL9,
