Refining the NaV1.7 pharmacophore of a class of venom‐derived peptide inhibitors via a combination of in silico screening and rational engineering

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Venom peptides have shown promise in treating pain. Our study uses computer screening to identify a peptide that targets a sodium channel (NaV1.7) linked to chronic pain. We produced the peptide in the laboratory and refined its design, advancing the search for innovative pain therapies.

The pseudorelativistic Hartree equation with a general nonlinearity: existence, non existence and variational identities [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2012
We prove several existence and non existence results of solitary waves for a class of nonlinear pseudo-relativistic Hartree equations with general nonlinearities. We use variational methods and some new variational identities involving the half Laplacian.

Peano's Existence Theorem revisited [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
We present new proofs to four versions of Peano's Existence Theorem for ordinary differential equations and systems. We hope to have gained readability with respect to other usual proofs.

This elusive objective existence

open access: yes, 2004
Zurek's existential interpretation of quantum mechanics suffers from three classical prejudices, including the belief that space and time are intrinsically and infinitely differentiated. They compel him to relativize the concept of objective existence in

The power of microRNA regulation—insights into immunity and metabolism

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
MicroRNAs are emerging as crucial regulators at the intersection of metabolism and immunity. This review examines how miRNAs coordinate glucose and lipid metabolism while simultaneously modulating T‐cell development and immune responses. Moreover, it highlights how cutting‐edge artificial intelligence applications can identify miRNA biomarkers ...

Fractional differential equations with coupled slit-strips type integral boundary conditions

open access: yesAIMS Mathematics, 2019
In this article, we discuss the existence of solutions for coupled hybrid fractional differential equations supplemented with coupled slit-strips type boundary conditions.

Ordered Black Boxes: Existence [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
We defined ordered black boxes in which for a partial $J$ we try to predict just a bound in $J$ to a function restricted to $C_\alpha$. The existence results are closely related to pcf, propagating downward.

The cytoskeletal control of B cell receptor and integrin signaling in normal B cells and chronic lymphocytic leukemia

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In lymphoid organs, antigen recognition and B cell receptor signaling rely on integrins and the cytoskeleton. Integrins act as mechanoreceptors, couple B cell receptor activation to cytoskeletal remodeling, and support immune synapse formation as well as antigen extraction.
