An existence and uniqueness theorem for the dynamics of flexural shells
In this paper, we define, a priori, a natural two-dimensional model for a time-dependent flexural shell. As expected, this model takes the form of a set of hyperbolic variational equations posed over the space of admissible linearized inextensional ...

The human gut microbiome across the life course
Despite significant individual variation and continuous change throughout life, the human gut microbiome follows some life stage‐specific trends. This article provides a brief overview of how gut microbiome composition shifts across different phases of life. Created in BioRender. Özkurt, E. (2026) https://BioRender.com/8q4nrnc.

ON EXISTENCE AND UNIQUENESS OF OPTIMAL CONTROLS
A quasilinear ordinary differential equation has coefficients which depend on a control function in a nonlinear manner. The trajectories are constrained at the beginning and the end of the control interval, and the performance criterion is quadratic in the state and the control; the admissible control functions are bounded above and below.

The physical dimensions and shape of bacterial cells define the surface area available to acquire nutrients and the volume available for synthesizing proteins and DNA. Here, we use computational systems biology to decode the importance of cell geometry as a major determinant of prokaryotic phenotype, including growth rate and metabolic efficiency. This

New Existence and Uniqueness Results for Fractional Differential Equations
In this paper, we study a class of boundary value problems of nonlinear fractional differential equations with integral boundary conditions. Some new existence and uniqueness results are obtained by using Banach fixed point theorem.

Phosphoinositides and inositol phosphates as molecular glues
Inositol phosphates (IPs) and phosphoinositides (PIPs) regulate diverse eukaryotic processes. Beyond recruiting signaling proteins or acting as structural cofactors, recent studies suggest they mediate protein–protein interactions as natural molecular glues.

Global existence and uniqueness for a singular/degenerate Cahn–Hilliard system with viscosity [PDF]
Existence and uniqueness are investigated for a nonlinear diffusion problem of phase-field type, consisting of a parabolic system of two partial differential equations, complemented by Neumann homogeneous boundary conditions and initial conditions.

Structural insights and therapeutic targets in Acinetobacter baumannii capsule biosynthesis
Hypervirulent KL49 A. baumannii's capsular polysaccharide contains the nonulosonic acid 8‐epi‐Leg5,7Ac2, synthesized by epimerization via ElaA, ElaB, and ElaC. Crystal structures of ElaA, ElaB, and ElaC reveal their role in CMP‐Leg5,7Ac2 synthesis and regioselective C8 epimerization.

Instant insanity: Uniqueness and existence of solutions [PDF]
This mathematics research project will probe into the game Instant Insanity, a classic puzzle which involves stacking four cubes whose faces are covered in four colors. This research will attempt to answer four questions: how to solve one specific puzzle
