[Cardioprotective effect of exogenous phosphocreatine in patients undergoing open heart surgery].
Hunan yi ke da xue xue bao = Hunan yike daxue xuebao = Bulletin of Hunan Medical University, 2003Twenty patients with rheumatic heart valve disease undergoing valve replacement were randomly divided into 2 group (n = 10): phosphocratine (neoton) group (group CP) in which 4.0 g neoton was used intravenously 2 days before operation and control group (group C) in which 5% G. S instead of neoton.

[Effect of exogenous phosphocreatine on the size of experimental myocardial infarction].
Kardiologiia, 1989The purpose of the study was to investigate the effect of exogenous phosphocreatine on the infarction size in experimental occlusion of a coronary artery. Experiments were carried out in anesthetized cats, in which the descending branch of the left coronary artery was ligated.

[Oxidative damage to the myocardium: the protective action of exogenous phosphocreatine].
Biulleten' eksperimental'noi biologii i meditsiny, 1990Oxidative damage of the isolated perfused rat heart was caused by addition of 90 microM H2O into Krebs-Henseleit solution. After 20 min of H2O2 addition an elevation of diastolic pressure (irreversible contracture) was observed followed by decrease of developed tension and heart work.

Central, intracardiac hemodynamics and myocardial contractility were assessed in 97 inpatients with macrofocal myocardial infarction. Of them, 71 received conventional chemotherapy versus 26 patients given additionally intravenous phosphocreatine (neoton).

The role of Ca2+ in the manifestation of the cardioprotective effect of phosphocreatine (PCr) on the ischemic myocardium was studied in isolated rat hearts perfused by the Langendorf method. Under ischemic cardiac arrest induced by a Ca(2+)-free perfusing solution PCr had no protective effect on the ischemic myocardium. PCr accelerated the postischemic

Thirty-seven men with angiography or ultrasound confirmed peripheral arterial occlusive disease were divided into two groups. Group 1 included 24 patients treated with one daily infusion of 10 g of phosphocreatine in 200 ml of solvent for 10 days. Group 2 included 13 patients who were given 0.9% NaCl in the same scheme.

Exogenous phosphocreatine (PCr) and its cyclic analog, 3-phosphono-2-imino-1-methyl-4-oxoimidazolidine (PIMOI) were used as protectors of ischemic myocardium. PCr was insignificantly metabolized, whereas its analog was rapidly split, resulting in the formation of creatinine and inorganic phosphate as well as of minor amounts of PCr and creatine ...

A method for simultaneous determination of exogenous phosphocreatine (PCr) and its metabolite creatine (Cr) in rabbit plasma was developed by using an ion-pair reversed-phase high performance liquid chromatography (IP-RP-HPLC). The pharmacokinetics (PK) of PCr was also investigated. In the IP-RP-HPLC method, a Kromasil C,8 column was used with methanol
