Upper limb exosuit cable routing optimization
2022 International Conference on Rehabilitation Robotics (ICORR), 2022Exosuits are emerging as promising in assisting with activities of daily living. In the design phase of an exosuit, it is fundamental to maximize its portability. The goal of this work was to identify the best cable routing configuration for an upper limb cable-driven exosuit to assist elbow flexion. Simulations were run in OpenSim.

Sensory-Motor Neurostimulation to Enhance Exosuit Performance
2023 International Conference on Rehabilitation Robotics (ICORR), 2023Exosuits typically provide limited mechanical support and rely on a user's residual functional ability. However, people with neurological impairments often suffer from both motor and sensory deficits that limit the assistance an exosuit can provide.

Biologically-inspired soft exosuit
2013 IEEE 13th International Conference on Rehabilitation Robotics (ICORR), 2013In this paper, we present the design and evaluation of a novel soft cable-driven exosuit that can apply forces to the body to assist walking. Unlike traditional exoskeletons which contain rigid framing elements, the soft exosuit is worn like clothing, yet can generate moments at the ankle and hip with magnitudes of 18% and 30% of those naturally ...

Self Adjusting Exosuit for Shoulder
2021To help the shoulder lift the arm against gravity, this paper proposes a soft cable-driven exoskeleton system. The shoulder posture is measured in real time by the heading and attitude reference systems distributed on the forearm and torso, and the ideal output tension of the two rope systems is calculated based on this.

Adaptive Hybrid FES-Force Controller for Arm Exosuit
2022 International Conference on Rehabilitation Robotics (ICORR), 2022Patients suffering from neuromuscular diseases experience motor disabilities which hinder their independence during activities of daily living (ADLs). For such impaired subjects, robotic devices and Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) are technologies commonly used to rehabilitate lost functions. Nevertheless, both systems present some limitations,
