A Monitoring System Based on Behavior Analysis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
[[abstract]]This paper presents a vision-based infant-monitoring system that adopts an infant behavior analysis approach to reduce infant injuries. In our study, the video camera is set above the crib to capture infant sequences.

Quantifying outcomes in applied behavior analysis through visual and statistical analyses : a synthesis

open access: yes, 2023
Applied behavior analysis employs visual analysis as the primary means of establishing treatment effects in single-subject experimental designs. In addition, there are several strategies that can be used to evaluate intervention effectiveness such non ...

The reactive pyruvate metabolite dimethylglyoxal mediates neurological consequences of diabetes

open access: yesNature Communications
Complications of diabetes are often attributed to glucose and reactive dicarbonyl metabolites derived from glycolysis or gluconeogenesis, such as methylglyoxal.

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

COMP–PMEPA1 axis promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition in breast cancer cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study reveals that cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (COMP) promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) in breast cancer. We identify PMEPA1 (protein TMEPAI) as a novel COMP‐binding partner that mediates EMT via binding to the TSP domains of COMP, establishing the COMP–PMEPA1 axis as a key EMT driver in breast cancer.

Case record analysis

open access: yes, 2009
It is argued that the determinates of low frequency (less than once an hour) challenging behavior are likely to be more complex than those of high frequency behavior involving setting events that may not be present when the behavior occurs.

Behavioral economics and the experimental analysis of costume behavior

Pre‐analytical optimization of cell‐free DNA and extracellular vesicle‐derived DNA for mutation detection in liquid biopsies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pre‐analytical handling critically determines liquid biopsy performance. This study defines practical best‐practice conditions for cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and extracellular vesicle–derived DNA (evDNA), showing how processing time, storage conditions, tube type, and plasma input volume affect DNA integrity and mutation detection.
