Off‐centering of cations in pavonite‐structured Ag1.75InSb5.75Se11 (AISS) breaks crystal symmetry, inducing Rashba‐like band splitting and high band degeneracy, thus enhancing Seebeck coefficients. Soft bonds between off‐centered cations and Se atoms increase phonon scattering, achieving low lattice thermal conductivity (0.22 W m−1K−1 at 723 K). Doping

A quantitative description of the interactions between ions and water is key to characterizing the role played by ions in mediating fundamental processes that take place in aqueous environments. At the molecular level, vibrational spectroscopy provides a

Fayet–Iliopoulos D-term in non-supersymmetric heterotic string orbifolds
The Fayet–Iliopoulos D-term is a common feature in $${\mathcal {N}}=1$$ N = 1 string vacua that contain an anomalous U(1) gauge symmetry, and arises from a one-loop diagram in string perturbation theory.

We study in detail the effect of the finite current quark mass on chiral symmetry breaking, in the framework of truncated Coulomb gauge QCD with a linear confining quark-antiquark potential. In the chiral limit of massless current quarks, the breaking of

An asymmetric non‐fullerene acceptor BTP‐FT is developed by extending the end group of Y6‐BO with thiophene. The conformation of the molecule is determined by the noncovalent F···S interaction as demonstrated by 2D NMR and simulations. An efficiency of 18.39% is achieved in the resulting ternary solar cells processed from toluene.

Holographic fermions in striped phases
We examine the fermionic response in a holographic model of a low temperature striped phase, working for concreteness with the setup we studied in [1, 2], in which a U(1) symmetry and translational invariance are broken spontaneously at the same time. We

Topological violation of global symmetries in quantum gravity
We discuss a topological reason why global symmetries are not conserved in quantum gravity, at least when the symmetry comes from compactification of a higher form symmetry.

Chiral Symmetry Breaking in a Soft-Wall Model of AdS/QCD
We incorporate chiral symmetry breaking in a soft-wall version of the AdS/QCD model by using a modified dilaton profile and a quartic term in the bulk scalar potential.

This study examines the surface characteristics of AlInP (001), crucial for advanced solar cells and photoelectrochemical devices. Using theoretical modeling and experiments, it identifies how phosphorus‐rich and indium‐rich surfaces create mid‐gap states that pin the Fermi level and influence ultrafast electron dynamics.
