Exponential Convergence For Markov Systems [PDF]
Abstract Markov operators arising from graph directed constructions of iterated function systems are considered. Exponential convergence to an invariant measure is proved.

Estimate of exponential convergence rate and exponential stability for neural networks [PDF]
Estimate of exponential convergence rate and exponential stability are studied for a class of neural networks which includes the Hopfield neural networks and the cellular neural networks. Both local and global exponential convergence is discussed.

Exponential convergence of nonlinear Luenberger observers [PDF]
In this paper, it is shown that under an extra observability assumption the nonlinear Luenberger observer as introduced recently in a previous publication may have an exponential convergence towards the state of the system.

On exponential convergence of random variables
Given the discrete-time sequence of nonnegative random variables, general dependencies between the exponential convergence of the expectations, exponential convergence of the trajectories and the logarithmic growth of the corresponding expected hitting times are analysed.

Exponential convergence of the weighted Birkhoff average
In this paper, we consider the polynomial and exponential convergence rate of weighted Birkhoff averages of irrational rotations on tori. It is shown that these can be achieved for finite and infinite dimensional tori which correspond to the quasiperiodic and almost periodic dynamical systems respectively, under certain balance between the nonresonant ...

Filter Functions with Exponential Convergence Order [PDF]
AbstractOversampled functions can be evaluated using generalized sinc‐series and filter functions connected with these series. A standard filter function is given by exp ((ζ2 − 1)−1). We show that the Fourier transform of this filter posseses the convergence order 0(exp (−√x)), improving an estimation given in [10].

On convergence to the exponential utility problem
The authors solve dynamic expected utility maximization problems with possibly not everywhere increasing utility functions. Terminal values of allowed wealth processes are elements of \(L^p\). The dynamic optimization problem over wealth processes is reformulated as a constraint static problem over \(L^p\)-random variables.

Equivalence of exponential ergodicity and L2-exponential convergence for Markov chains
Let \(Q\) be an irreducible regular \(Q\)-matrix on a countable state space \(E\). Assume that there exists an invariant probability measure \(\pi\) for the corresponding transition probability matrix \(P(t) = (p_ {ij}(t),\; i,j\in E)\). We say that \(P(t)\) is exponentially ergodic if there exists \(\alpha >0\) such that \(| p_ {ij}(t)-\pi _ {j}| \leq
