Exponential Decay Estimates and Smoothness of the Moduli Space of Pseudoholomorphic Curves [PDF]
The compacified moduli space of bordered stable maps carries a Kuranishi structure with boundary. Smoothness of Kuranishi structure along the boundary requires smoothness of coordinate changes along the boundary. The proof of smoothness is written by the

Exponential decay of expansive constants [PDF]
A map $f$ on a compact metric space is expansive if and only if $f^n$ is expansive. We study the exponential rate of decay of the expansive constant of $f^n$. A major result is that this rate times box dimension bounds topological entropy.

Classical picture of post-exponential decay [PDF]
Post-exponential decay of the probability density of a quantum particle leaving a trap can be reproduced accurately, except for interference oscillations at the transition to the post-exponential regime, by means of an ensemble of classical particles ...

Exponential decay of correlations for $\Co^{(4)}$ Contact Anosov flows is established. This implies, in particular, exponential decay of correlations for all smooth geodesic flows in strictly negative ...

Brownian motion in a truncated Weyl chamber [PDF]
We examine the non-exit probability of a multidimensional Brownian motion from a growing truncated Weyl chamber. Different regimes are identified according to the growth speed, ranging from polynomial decay over stretched-exponential to exponential decay.

Measuring the Lyapunov exponent using quantum mechanics
We study the time evolution of two wave packets prepared at the same initial state, but evolving under slightly different Hamiltonians. For chaotic systems, we determine the circumstances that lead to an exponential decay with time of the wave packet ...

We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

Variational Multiscale Stabilization and the Exponential Decay of Fine-Scale Correctors [PDF]
This paper reviews the variational multiscale stabilization of standard finite element methods for linear partial differential equations that exhibit multiscale features.

Simple quasi-exponential slope generator [PDF]
Circuitry for digitally generating an exponentially decaying wave function permits discrete values to be sampled from the exponential waveform for comparison with a binary number of specified accuracy.
