Nuclear pore links Fob1‐dependent rDNA damage relocation to lifespan control
Damaged rDNA accumulates at a specific perinuclear interface that couples nucleolar escape with nuclear envelope association. Nuclear pores at this site help inhibit Fob1‐induced rDNA instability. This spatial organization of damage handling supports a functional link between nuclear architecture, rDNA stability, and replicative lifespan in yeast.

Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...

From oscillatory integrals to complete exponential sums [PDF]
In \cite{PS-I}, Phong and Stein establish a sharp and stable bound for (one dimensional) scalar oscillatory integrals with a polynomial phase $\phi$ in terms of root clusters of the derivative $\phi'$.

The Hybrid Power Mean of Sixth Gauss Sums and the Two-Term Exponential Sums
The principal aim of this paper is to analyze the hybrid power mean value of sixth Gauss sums and two-term exponential sums. It will use various analytic methods and elementary methods to develop unique identities for these types of sums.

Two New Classes of Codebooks Asymptotically Achieving the Welch Bound
Exponential sums over Galois rings have many applications in coding theory, cryptography and algebraic combinatorics. In this article, we employ additive characters and multiplicative characters over Galois rings to present two classes of codebooks, and ...

Exponential Lower Bounds via Exponential Sums [PDF]
Valiant’s famous VP vs. VNP conjecture states that the symbolic permanent polynomial does not have polynomial-size algebraic circuits. However, the best upper bound on the size of the circuits computing the permanent is exponential. Informally, VNP is an

Tree codes and a conjecture on exponential sums [PDF]
We propose a new conjecture on some exponential sums. These particular sums have not apparently been considered in the literature. Subject to the conjecture we obtain the first effective construction of asymptotically good tree codes.

Single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assays for high‐throughput DNA–protein interaction studies
We describe an optimised single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assay that visualises DNA–protein interactions in real time. Linear DNA fragments are tethered to a surface and stretched by buffer flow for fluorescence imaging. Using λ and φX174 DNA, this protocol enhances reproducibility and accessibility, providing a versatile approach for studying diverse ...

L-functions of Exponential Sums over Finite Fields [PDF]
Let $\mathbb{F}_{q}$ be a finite field with characteristic $p$. A fundamental problem in number theory is to estimate the reciprocal zeros and poles of L-functions of exponential sums over $\mathbb{F}_{q}$. In this dissertation, we focus on two classical
