Exponential sums over integers without large prime divisors
We obtain a new bound on exponential sums over integers without large prime divisors, improving that of Fouvry and Tenenbaum (1991). For a fixed integer $ν\ne 0$, we also obtain new bounds on exponential sums with $ν$-th powers of such integers. The improvement is based on exploiting more precisely the factorisation of integers without large prime ...

Bounds of triple exponential sums with mixed exponential and linear terms
We establish bounds of triple exponential sums with mixed exponential and linear function. The method we use is by Shparlinski together with a bound of additive energy from Roche-Newton, Rudnev and Shkredov.Comment: Corrected a ...

The wettability of aluminum droplets (Al) on different copper substrates (Cu), where liquid Al spreads on solid Cu surfaces to form a liquid–solid interface, is studied numerically and experimentally. The experimental and numerical results show good agreement in the fast‐spreading regime.

On exponential sums over primes in arithmetic progressions
Let \(\Lambda(n)\) denote the von Mangoldt function, \(c\) be a non-zero integer, \(\alpha\) be a real number, and suppose that integers \(q\) and \(a\) satisfy \(|\alpha-a/q|\leq q^{-2}\), \(q\geq 1\) and \((q,a)=1\). Suppose also that an arithmetical function \(\lambda(d)\) is ``well-factorable of level \(D\)'', that is, whenever \(D=D_1D_2\) with ...

Simultaneous Integer Values of Pairs of Quadratic Forms [PDF]
We prove that a pair of integral quadratic forms in 5 or more variables will simultaneously represent "almost all" pairs of integers that satisfy the necessary local conditions, provided that the forms satisfy a suitable nonsingularity condition.

Evaluating Energy Absorption Performance of Filled Lattice Structures
Maximum stress must be considered to robustly evaluate energy absorber designs. This approach was applied to compare all types of absorbers in a single Ashby diagram and determine the utility of filling lattice voids with a second material. High‐performance fillers can improve the performance of lattices that are limited by buckling or catastrophic ...

Positive exponential sums and odd polynomials [PDF]
Given an odd integer polynomial f(x) of a degree k >=3, we construct a non-negative valued, normed trigonometric polynomial with the spectrum in the set of integer values of f(x) not greater than n, and a small free coefficient a_{0}=O((\log n)^{-1/k ...

This paper presents a novel approach to reducing oxide layers on metal powders using low‐temperature hydrogen dielectric barrier discharge plasmas at atmospheric pressure. Unlike conventional hydrogen‐plasma reductions, the powders do not contact the plasma directly.

This study reports lightweight polyetherimide triply periodic minimal surfaces lattices coated with carbon nanotube‐reinforced epoxy that combine mechanical robustness with self‐sensing. The conformal coating enhances stiffness, strength and energy absorption while enabling reliable strain monitoring.

Phase‐field simulations coupled with dislocation‐density‐based crystal plasticity modeling reproduce γ′ rafting behavior in single‐crystal Ni‐based superalloys under varied loading conditions. The model captures both macroscopic creep and microscopic morphology evolution, with results matching high‐temperature creep experiments.
