The Association between Assisted Reproductive Technologies and Neurodevelopmental Disorders in Offspring: An Overview of Current Evidence

open access: yesJournal of Integrative Neuroscience
The utilization of assisted reproductive technologies (ART) is on the rise, resulting in a growing population of ART-conceived offspring. The health concerns of this unique population have attracted significant attention.

LAPTM5 Downregulation‐Driven VAMP8 Phosphorylation Impairs Autophagosome‐Lysosome Fusion and Aggravates Septic Acute Lung Injury

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
LAPTM5 functions as a critical molecular scaffold bridging PGAM5 and VAMP to facilitate PGAM5‐mediated dephosphorylation of VAMP8. This cascade promotes autophagosome‐lysosome fusion, restores impaired autophagic flux, and clears damaged mitochondria, thereby mitigating cellular oxidative stress and systemic inflammation.

Gestational exposure to HIV drugs alters intestinal mucosa-associated microbial diversity in adult rat offspring

open access: yesExperimental Biology and Medicine
The antiretroviral (ARV) drug combination of abacavir sulfate, dolutegravir, and lamivudine [ABC/DTG/3TC; Tri combination Anti-retroviral therapy (TC-ART)] has revolutionized HIV treatment by effectively targeting different stages of viral replication ...

WFS1 Deficiency Impairs PIAS4‐Associated SUMOylation and Increases Ubiquitin‐Mediated Spermatogenesis‐Related Protein Degradation Leading to Testicular Male Infertility

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The findings establish a critical role for WFS1 in human male fertility. Mechanistically, WFS1 interacts with PIAS4 to promote the SUMOylation of key spermatogenesis‐associated proteins, which in turn competitively inhibits their K48‐linked ubiquitin‐mediated degradation during spermatogenesis.

Structural Control of Stromal‐Immune Coupling by COL24A1 Underlies Pregnancy Maintenance

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
COL24A1 emerges as a collagen‐associated regulator of maternal‐fetal interface homeostasis. Its deficiency promotes a maladaptive TIMP1‐high stromal state, impaired ECM turnover, collagen accumulation, and stromal–immune dysregulation, contributing to pregnancy loss.

Enhancing Specific Stiffness of Nano‐Architected Materials Through Generative AI and Active Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A structure‐centric generative framework searches voxelated design space directly, coupling a variational autoencoder with multi‐objective optimization and active learning to progressively expand the validated design domain. The discovered nano‐architectures, realized as pyrolytic carbon by two‐photon lithography, deliver 18–23% higher stiffness and 26–

Offspring-driven local dispersal in female sand lizards (Lacerta agilis)

open access: yes, 2004
We report on a field study in which determinants of female breeding dispersal (i.e. the shift in the mean home range coordinates between successive breeding events) was investigated.
