Deciphering Gene Expression Patterns
Large-scale studies in various model systems including Drosophila, fish, and the mouse have documented the exquisite temporal and spatial expression patterns of thousands of genes during development—making sense of it all is a major challenge in the field.

Evolutionary biclustering based on expression patterns
The majority of the biclustering approaches for microarray data analysis use the Mean Squared Residue (MSR) as the main evaluation measure for guiding the heuristic. MSR has been proven to be inefficient to recognize several kind of interesting patterns for biclusters.

GSEA-InContext: identifying novel and common patterns in expression experiments
Motivation Gene Set Enrichment Analysis (GSEA) is routinely used to analyze and interpret coordinate changes in transcriptomics experiments. For an experiment where less than seven samples per condition are compared, GSEA employs a competitive null ...

Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

In this study, we present the structure of AcrIE8.1, a previously uncharacterized anti‐CRISPR protein that inhibits the type I‐E CRISPR‐Cas system. Through a combination of structural and biochemical analyses, we demonstrate that AcrIE8.1 directly binds to the Cas11 subunit of the Cascade complex to inhibit the CRISPR‐Cas system.

An intracellular transporter mitigates the CO2‐induced decline in iron content in Arabidopsis shoots
This study identifies a gene encoding a transmembrane protein, MIC, which contributes to the reduction of shoot Fe content observed in plants under elevated CO2. MIC is a putative Fe transporter localized to the Golgi and endosomal compartments. Its post‐translational regulation in roots may represent a potential target for improving plant nutrition ...

Activity of bc1 complex kinase (ABC1K) is an atypical protein kinase (aPK) that plays a crucial role in plant mitochondrial and plastid stress responses, but little is known about the responses of ABC1Ks to stress in cotton (Gossypium spp.).
