Linear and nonlinear information flow in spatially extended systems
Infinitesimal and finite amplitude error propagation in spatially extended systems are numerically and theoretically investigated. The information transport in these systems can be characterized in terms of the propagation velocity of perturbations $V_p$.

Trojan pairs in the HD 128311 and HD 82943 planetary systems? [PDF]
Two nearby stars, HD 128311 and HD 82943, are believed to host pairs of Jupiter-like planets involved in a strong first order 2:1 mean motion resonance (MMR).

One way Hash function construction based on the extended chaotic maps switch
How to design an efficient one-way Hash function is always the hot point in mode rn cryptography researches. In this paper, a Hash function construction method b ased on extended chaotic maps switch is proposed. The extended chaotic model is first built to generate various kinds of chaotic signals at different parts of t he original signals according ...

In MOCVD MoS2 memristors, a current compliance‐regulated Ag filament mechanism is revealed. The filament ruptures spontaneously during volatile switching, while subsequent growth proceeds vertically through the MoS2 layers and then laterally along the van der Waals gaps during nonvolatile switching.

FeistelX network-based image encryption leveraging hyperchaotic fusion and extended DNA coding
The rising frequency of cyberattacks has heightened the need for more secure and efficient image encryption techniques. Traditional chaotic and DNA-based methods often struggle with limited key space, low diffusion efficiency, or vulnerability to ...

A statistical mechanical approach for the computation of the climatic response to general forcings [PDF]
The climate belongs to the class of non-equilibrium forced and dissipative systems, for which most results of quasi-equilibrium statistical mechanics, including the fluctuation-dissipation theorem, do not apply.

Polymorph engineering in ErMnO3 enables low‐voltage, forming‐free threshold switching with tunable negative differential resistance. Conducting orthorhombic regions embedded in an insulating hexagonal matrix provide controlled Joule‐heating‐enhanced Poole–Frenkel transport. The hexagonal phase prevents excessive heating and breakdown.

Stochastic Resonance in Maps and Coupled Map Lattices
We demonstrate the phenomenon of stochastic resonance (SR) for discrete-time dynamical systems. We investigate various systems that are not necessarily bistable, but do have two well defined states, switching between which is aided by external noise ...

An authenticated key agreement protocol based on extended chaotic maps
Recently, many chaotic maps-based authenticated key agreement protocols using smart cards have been proposed. Unfortunately, tamper-resistant card readers make these protocols costly and unpractical. In addition, the digital signature scheme based on chaotic maps requires high computational resources.
