Oseledets' Splitting of Standard-like Maps [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
For the class of differentiable maps of the plane and, in particular, for standard-like maps (McMillan form), a simple relation is shown between the directions of the local invariant manifolds of a generic point and its contribution to the finite-time ...

Conformable Microelectrode Arrays Integrated with a Scoop‐Shaped Slide‐Well for Dynamic Electrophysiological Profiling of Patient‐Derived Cardiac Organoids

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A flexible, ultrathin multi‐channel microelectrode array (MEA) conformally integrated onto a curved slide‐well enables stable electrical interfacing with 3D cardiac organoids. The geometry‐guided self‐alignment allows simultaneous recording of extracellular field potentials and contractile motion from irregular, beating tissues.

A quasi-diagonal approach to the estimation of Lyapunov spectra for spatio-temporal systems from multivariate time series

open access: yes, 2000
We describe methods of estimating the entire Lyapunov spectrum of a spatially extended system from multivariate time-series observations. Provided that the coupling in the system is short range, the Jacobian has a banded structure and can be estimated ...

ERROR PROPAGATION IN EXTENDED CHAOTIC SYSTEMS [PDF]

open access: yes, 1995
A strong analogy is found between the evolution of localized disturbances in extended chaotic systems and the propagation of fronts separating different phases.

Multi‐Organelle Stress‐Induced Paraptosis by a ROS‐Amplifying Nanocatalyst for Enhanced Cancer Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The engineered TF‐Fe@LC nanoplatform programs paraptotic death via multipath ROS amplification that disrupts redox homeostasis, provoking mitochondrial dysfunction, autophagic blockade, and ER stress. This caspase‐independent process elicits robust immunogenic cell death, combining with αPD‐L1 to activate systemic CD8+ T‐cell immunity and suppress ...

Thirty Years of Turnstiles and Transport [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
To characterize transport in a deterministic dynamical system is to compute exit time distributions from regions or transition time distributions between regions in phase space.

SpatialESD: Spatial Ensemble Domain Detection in Spatial Transcriptomics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Spatial transcriptomics (ST) measures gene expression while preserving spatial context within tissues. One of the key tasks in ST analysis is spatial domain detection, which remains challenging due to the complex structure of ST data and the varying performance of individual clustering methods. To address this, we propose SpatialESD, a Spatial

Chemically Engineered L. reuteri Delivering αPD‐L1 and Gallium Ions via Metal‐Phenolic Networks Potentiate Anti‐Tumor Immunity and Ferroptosis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A multifaceted chemical strategy, integrating bacterial tropism, metal‐ion interference therapy, and immunotherapy, resulted in significant tumor regression in murine models. A pioneering paradigm for the design of biohybrid materials was established, highlighting how sophisticated chemical engineering of living systems can unlock new avenues for ...

Computational analysis of soliton dynamics and their applications in the fractional Kairat-II equation

open access: yesBoundary Value Problems
In this paper, we investigate the dynamical behaviour and soliton solutions of the M-fractional Kairat-II equation. Initially, soliton solutions are obtained using the new extended direct algebraic method.

High-Security Image Encryption Using Baker Map Confusion and Extended PWAM Chaotic Diffusion

open access: yesComputers
The heavy use of digital images across network systems has become a major concern regarding data confidentiality and unauthorized access. Conventional image encryption techniques hardly achieve high security levels efficiently, especially in real-time ...
