Growth of matter perturbations in the extended viscous dark energy models

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2021
In this work, we study the extended viscous dark energy models in the context of matter perturbations. To do this, we assume an alternative interpretation of the flat Friedmann–Lemaître–Robertson–Walker Universe, through the nonadditive entropy and the ...

True coincidence summing corrections for an extended energy range HPGe detector [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
True coincidence summing (TCS) effect for natural radioactive families of U-238 and Th-232 represents a problem when an environmental sample with a close source-detector geometry measurement is performed.

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Investigating Seidel energies and thermodynamic properties of benzenoid hydrocarbons through regression models

open access: yesScientific Reports
In this article, we present the concept of extended Seidel energy by employing a generalized extended matrix to study various molecular properties, including the Kovats retention index, boiling point, enthalpy of formation, entropy, acentric factor, and ...

On the Extended Adjacency Eigenvalues of a Graph

open access: yesInformation
Let H be a graph of order n with m edges. Let di=d(vi) be the degree of the vertex vi. The extended adjacency matrix Aex(H) of H is an n×n matrix defined as Aex(H)=(bij), where bij=12didj+djdi, whenever vi and vj are adjacent and equal to zero otherwise.

Assessment of low carbon energy technologies: fossil fuels and CCS

open access: yes, 2013
This paper presents results that are part of a larger effort driven by the International Resource Panel of the United Nations Environment Program. The reports aims to identify and, when possible, quantify the trade-offs, benefits, and risks of low carbon
