Extended Minimal Atomicity through Nondifferentiability: A Mathematical-Physical Approach

open access: yesAdvances in Mathematical Physics, 2019
The mathematical concept of minimal atomicity is extended to fractal minimal atomicity, based on the nondifferentiability of the motion curves of physical system entities on a fractal manifold.

Weak order for the discretization of the stochastic heat equation driven by impulsive noise [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Considering a linear parabolic stochastic partial differential equation driven by impulsive space time noise, dX_t+AX_t dt= Q^{1/2}dZ_t, X_0=x_0\in H, t\in [0,T], we approximate the distribution of X_T.

Bioinspired Shape‐Memory Hook Fasteners With Programmable Interlocking and Silent Release

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Bioinspired hook fasteners made from epoxy shape‐memory polymers are shown to switch between strong, secure attachment and gentle, silent release when heated. By combining programmable geometry and material response, these adaptive fasteners outperform commercial systems in strength and noise control, enabling new solutions for robotics, medical ...

All‐in‐One Analog AI Hardware: On‐Chip Training and Inference with Conductive‐Metal‐Oxide/HfOx ReRAM Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An all‐in‐one analog AI accelerator is presented, enabling on‐chip training, weight retention, and long‐term inference acceleration. It leverages a BEOL‐integrated CMO/HfOx ReRAM array with low‐voltage operation (<1.5 V), multi‐bit capability over 32 states, low programming noise (10 nS), and near‐ideal weight transfer.

Non quantum uncertainty relations of stochastic dynamics

open access: yes, 2005
First we describe briefly an information-action method for the study of stochastic dynamics of hamiltonian systems perturbed by thermal noise and chaotic instability.

Slight Truncation Changes in Iron Oxide Nanocubes Strongly Affect Their Magnetic Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Subtle variations in nanoparticle morphology can lead to significant changes in functional properties. An automated shape‐fitting method captures minor differences in corner truncation between iron oxide nanocubes of similar sizes synthesized under identical conditions, revealing pronounced disparities in their magnetic and hyperthermia behavior ...

Calculation of the extended probabilistic box of static voltage stability margin for a hybrid AC-DC power grid with renewables

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrical Power & Energy Systems
High-order uncertainties arise in the cumulative distribution function parameters of wind speed and solar irradiance due to data gaps and statistical errors in renewable energy stations (RESs).

Circular‐Polarization‐Sensitive Organic Photodetectors with a Chiral Nanopatterned Electrode Inverse‐Designed by Genetic Algorithm

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A chiral photodetector capable of selectively distinguishing left‐ and right‐handed circularly polarized light is experimentally demonstrated. The device, which features a nanopatterned electrode inverse‐designed by a genetic algorithm within a metal–dielectric–metal nanocavity that incorporates a vacuum‐deposited small‐molecule multilayer, exhibits ...

First-principles prediction of shock Hugoniot curves of boron, aluminum, and silicon from stochastic density functional theory

open access: yesMatter and Radiation at Extremes
By adopting stochastic density functional theory (SDFT) and mixed stochastic–deterministic density functional theory (MDFT) methods, we perform first-principles calculations to predict the shock Hugoniot curves of boron (pressure P = 7.9 × 103–1.6 × 106 ...

Multiple Stratonovich integral and Hu--Meyer formula for L\'{e}vy processes

open access: yes, 2010
In the framework of vector measures and the combinatorial approach to stochastic multiple integral introduced by Rota and Wallstrom [Ann. Probab. 25 (1997) 1257--1283], we present an It\^{o} multiple integral and a Stratonovich multiple integral with ...
