GEOMETRIC ALGEBRAS AND EXTENSORS [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Geometric Methods in Modern Physics, 2007
This is the first paper in a series (of four) designed to show how to use geometric algebras of multivectors and extensors to a novel presentation of some topics of differential geometry which are important for a deeper understanding of geometrical theories of the gravitational field.

Impingement of a fibroma of the extensor tendon sheath on the extensor retinaculum [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Hand and Microsurgery, 2010
Deep lacerations to the forearm can cause impaired movement of the digits. This report describes the presentation and management of a self-harmer who presented with loss of motion of her ring finger. Surgical exploration unexpectedly demonstrated the cause to be a fibroma of the tendon sheath impinging on the extensor retinaculum.

THE USE OF Orbignya speciosa FLOUR IN PLYWOOD ADHESIVE MIX

open access: yesCiência Florestal, 2014
http://dx.doi.org/10.5902/1980509813340The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of the addition of babaçu flour on urea-formaldehyde adhesive properties and compare it to the adhesives produced with wheat flour, which is the extender usually used

Bilateral Digital Extensor Hypoplasia Correction: A Case Report and Systematic Review

open access: yesArchives of Plastic Surgery, 2023
Digital extensor hypoplasia (DEH) is a rare malformation that presents with loss of active finger extension at the metacarpophalangeal (MCP) joints. Descriptions of optimal treatment and outcomes in this population are sparse.

Morphological study of anomalous deep extensors of the hand

open access: yesNational Journal of Clinical Anatomy, 2019
Background Anomalous muscles on the dorsum of the hand include the extensor medii proprius (EMP), extensor indicis et medii communis (EIMC), extensor digitorum brevis manus (EDBM), and anomalous extensor indicis proprius (aEIP).

Alteration of Metabosensitive Afferent Response With Aging: Exercised versus Non-exercised Rats

open access: yesFrontiers in Aging Neuroscience, 2018
This study was designed to evaluate the effect of aging on the activity of metabosensitive afferent fibers (thin muscle afferents from group III and IV) and to determine if physical activity performed at old age may influence the afferent discharge ...

Extensor mechanism variation of the index finger

open access: yesActa Orthopaedica et Traumatologica Turcica, 2020
The extensor indicis proprius (EIP) tendon and extensor digitorum communis (EDC) tendons are the main extensor tendons of the second finger. Different variations of extensor tendons are frequently reported.

The Branching and Innervation Pattern of the Radial Nerve in the Forearm: Clarifying the Literature and Understanding Variations and Their Clinical Implications

open access: yesDiagnostics, 2020
Background: This study attempted to clarify the innervation pattern of the muscles of the distal arm and posterior forearm through cadaveric dissection. Methods: Thirty-five cadavers were dissected to expose the radial nerve in the forearm. Each muscular
