After stroke, hemiplegic individuals have difficulty opening their hands by themselves due to paralysis. A finger extensor facilitation technique was therefore developed to increase the activity of the extensor muscle in hemiplegic individuals who cannot

In this paper we introduce a class of mathematical objects called \emph{extensors} and develop some aspects of their theory with considerable detail. We give special names to several particular but important cases of extensors. The \emph{extension,} \emph{adjoint} and \emph{generalization} operators are introduced and their properties studied.

Biomechanical Study of Extensor Tendon Lacerations Over the Finger Metacarpophalangeal Joints
Purpose: To assess the percentages of extensor tendon lacerations over the finger metacarpophalangeal (MCP) joints that may lead to an MCP joint extensor lag. Methods: We obtained 8t fresh-frozen cadaveric hand specimens.

Extensor hallucis longus tendon rupture can have a detrimental effect on gait and stability if not treated appropriately. While an end to end anastomosis is the preferred surgical technique, this is not always possible in neglected injuries due to tendon

Impact of moment arm on torque production of the knee extensors in children
The joint moment arm (MA) dimension is related to joint torque in adults. However, this relationship remains unexplored in children. In this study, we aimed to determine the relationship between MA and joint torque of the knee extensors in this young ...

ABSTRACT Primary lung carcinomas and bronchial carcinoid tumors (BC) are very rare malignancies in childhood. While typical BC and mucoepidermoid carcinomas are mostly low‐grade, localized tumors with a more favorable prognosis than in adults, necessitating avoidance of overtreatment, adenocarcinomas of the lung are often diagnosed at advanced disease ...
