Fast Antenna Array Calibration Using One External Receiver [PDF]
In multiple array communication or radar systems, waveform diversity can be utilized for beampattern design. However, one of the critical issues for such systems is the presence of mutual coupling, which degrades the beampattern design’s quality.

Experiment and Numerical Analysis of Thermal Performance of a Billboard External Receiver [PDF]
The receiver serves as a critical component in tower-type concentrated solar power plants. Responsible for light-heat conversion, the efficiency of the receiver significantly affects the overall performance of the power plant.

Study on Outlet Temperature Control of External Receiver for Solar Power Tower [PDF]
Due to the change of direct normal irradiance (DNI) and the change of output power load, the receiver of the solar tower is in an unstable state in the actual operation. In this paper, a 100 MW external cylindric receiver is designed and modelled.

Flow patterns of external solar receivers [PDF]
A The design of the flow paths in solar external-receivers with molten salt as heat transfer fluid is critical to increase the Solar Power Tower (SPT) availability and for a reliable receiver operation. The parameters that affect mostly the start-up and shut-down of the receiver are the Direct Normal Irradiance (DNI) and the sun elevation angle ...

Stress analysis of external molten salt receiver [PDF]
Commercial solar thermal power plant projects using central receivers with molten salt as a heat transfer fluid are dominating the market. Due to the complex load situation, especially the inhomogeneous heat flux distribution, the receiver components are subjected to complex thermo-mechanical loads.

Using corrugated tubes in external molten salt receivers [PDF]
CFD models have been used to show the potential of using corrugated tubes instead of smooth tubes at a solar thermal receiver using molten salt as heat transfer fluid. The results were compared on the basis of a 700 MWth receiver. Absorber tubes with an inner diameter between 32.8mm and 70 mm using a helical ribbed structure have been analyzed.

Heliostat aiming point optimization for external tower receiver
Abstract Reduction of peak fluxes on solar receiver is an important research topic because peak minimization can lead to lower receiver temperatures with advantages in terms of thermal efficiency and mechanical stresses. This work proposes different approaches for the minimization of the heat flux on external tower receiver with surround field.

Hearing aids with external receivers [PDF]
The design of hearing solutions for people with moderate to severe hearing loss (HL) traditionally encounters the tradeoff between form and function, appearance and performance. That is, patients typically must sacrifice cosmetics and/or ease of use to obtain devices that can provide them with adequate gain and output.
