A summary of TTA extraction coefficients
Journal of Inorganic and Nuclear Chemistry, 1961Abstract Extraction with organic solutions of 2-thenoyltrifluoroacetone (TTA) has proved to be a versatile and powerful method for radiochemical separations. A summary of the data in the literature is presented. In general, the logarithm of the extraction coefficient is linear with pH at constant TTA concentration.

Practical approach to extraction of piezoresistance coefficient
Sensors and Actuators A: Physical, 1998Abstract For finding the longitudinal and transverse components of the piezoresistance coefficient ( τ l and τ t , respectively), a practically useful approach will be considered. Measurements of the piezoresistors on a pressure-sensor membrane and stress modelling using the finite-element method are employed for this purpose.

ACTIVITY COEFFICIENTS OF CARBAMOYLMETHYLPHOSPHORYL EXTRACTANTS IN TOLUENE*
Solvent Extraction and Ion Exchange, 1986ABSTRACT The activity coefficients of four extractants belonging to the carbamoylmethylphosphoryl class were measured by vapor-phase osmometry. All of the activity coefficients were within 15% of unity for concentrations up to 0.5 M in toluene.

A New Method for the Orthogonal Extraction of the Volterra Series Coefficients
2006 International Workshop on Integrated Nonlinear Microwave and Millimeter-Wave Circuits, 2006This paper discusses nonlinear microwave measurement methodologies for behavioral model extraction in the frequency domain, i.e., when the excitation is a set of multisine functions. Due to the theoretical necessity of guaranteeing the test of all relevant system's properties for accurate model extraction, we address the problem of stimulus richness by

Facial Feature Extraction Method Based on Coefficients of Variances
Journal of Computer Science and Technology, 2007Principal Component Analysis (PCA) and Linear Discriminant Analysis (LDA) are two popular feature extraction techniques in statistical pattern recognition field. Due to small sample size problem LDA cannot be directly applied to appearance-based face recognition tasks.

A coefficients extraction algorithm for LUT-based Hammerstein predistorters
2008 IEEE 19th International Symposium on Personal, Indoor and Mobile Radio Communications, 2008There are many digital baseband predistorters, which are used to overcome the nonlinearity and memory effect of power amplifier for wideband signals. Look-up table-based Hammerstein predistorter is one of them and has remarkable advantages comparing with the others.

Feature extraction from wavelet coefficients for pattern recognition tasks
Proceedings of International Conference on Neural Networks (ICNN'97), 1999An efficient feature extraction method based on the fast wavelet transform is presented. The paper especially deals with the assessment of process parameters or states in a given application using the features extracted from the wavelet coefficients of measured process signals.

Mass Transfer Coefficients in Vapour Extraction (VAPEX)
Canadian International Petroleum Conference, 2007Abstract The in-situ extraction of heavy oil and bitumen requires enhanced oil production techniques to sufficiently reduce the viscosity of the oil to produce it at economical rates. Vapour extraction (VAPEX) and warm VAPEX (where the solvent condenses in-situ) are two possibilities for producing highly viscous in ...

Extracting Quantitative Ultrasonic Parameters from the Backscatter Coefficient
2023The ultrasonic backscatter coefficient (BSC) is a fundamental quantitative ultrasound (QUS) parameter that contains rich information about the underlying tissue. Deriving parameters from the BSC is essential for fully utilizing the information contained in BSC for tissue characterization. In this chapter, we review two primary approaches for extracting
