Abstract Rhodococcus equi is a facultative intracellular pathogen and a major cause of pneumonia in foals worldwide. The standard treatment for affected foals is a combination of a macrolide with rifampicin. The widespread use of this combination has led to the emergence of multidrug‐resistant (MDR) strains of R. equi.

Laryngeal Cryotherapy for Neurogenic Cough: Safety, Feasibility, and Prospective Outcomes
A prospective clinical trial investigated the safety and clinical outcomes of office‐based selective laryngeal cryotherapy for patients with refractory chronic cough. Patient were followed for 6 months posttreatment and had durable improvement in cough severity index and urge‐to‐cough scores and no serious long term adverse effects.
