Proofs by Transformation in Extremal Graph Theory [PDF]
A graph is a mathematical model representing binary relationships between elements of a set. It is composed of two sets: the set of the elements called the vertices and a set of pairs of vertices called the edges.

Evolutionary analysis across 32 placental mammals identified positive selection at residues H148 and W149 in the immune receptor FcγR1. Ancestral reconstruction combined with molecular dynamics simulations reveals how these mutations may influence receptor structure and dynamics, providing insight into the evolution of antibody recognition and immune ...

Extreme Value Theory for Open Set Classification -- GPD and GEV Classifiers
Classification tasks usually assume that all possible classes are present during the training phase. This is restrictive if the algorithm is used over a long time and possibly encounters samples from unknown classes. The recently introduced extreme value machine, a classifier motivated by extreme value theory, addresses this problem and achieves ...

TisIBP8, a fungal‐derived hyperactive ice‐binding protein, helps Caenorhabditis elegans survive dehydration. It localizes near cell membranes, reduces cell damage, and helps maintain membrane structure during drying. These results suggest that ice‐binding proteins can protect cells from dehydration stress as well as freezing stress.

Wormholes in the axiverse, and the species scale
We analyze a large class of four-dimensional N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ = 1 low-energy realizations of the axiverse satisfying various quantum gravity constraints.

COMPLETE ASYMPTOTICS OF APPROXIMATIONS BY CERTAIN SINGULAR INTEGRALS IN THE MATHEMATICAL MODELING
In solving some types of applied problems, the most effective nowadays are methods of the theory of approximation of functions. In a modern stage of development of the theory of approximation of functions, one merely deals with either an approximation ...

Cracking the Code: Genotype–Phenotype Correlation Models in Sarcoglycanopathies
ABSTRACT Objective Sarcoglycanopathies are among the most severe limb‐girdle muscular dystrophies (LGMD), though milder presentations have been described. These diseases are primarily caused by missense variants, but the limited predictability of their effect on protein maturation, complex formation, and transport has hindered reliable genotype ...

Representation theory methods in extremal combinatorics
Xiang, QingThe research of this thesis lies in the area of extremal combinatorics. The word "extremal" comes from the kind of problems that are studied in this field.

Rotating black hole in Rastall theory
Rotating black hole solutions in theories of modified gravity are important as they offer an arena to test these theories through astrophysical observation.
