Wormholes in the axiverse, and the species scale
We analyze a large class of four-dimensional N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ = 1 low-energy realizations of the axiverse satisfying various quantum gravity constraints.

The Kerr-Newman-Godel Black Hole
By applying a set of Hassan-Sen transformations and string dualities to the Kerr-Godel solution of minimal D=5 supergravity we derive a four parameter family of five dimensional solutions in type II string theory.

Black holes lessons from multipole ratios
We explain in detail how to calculate the gravitational mass and angular momentum multipoles of the most general non-extremal four-dimensional black hole with four magnetic and four electric charges.

Aldehyde dehydrogenase 1A1 (ALDH1A1) is a cancer stem cell marker in several malignancies. We established a novel epithelial cell line from rectal adenocarcinoma with unique overexpression of this enzyme. Genetic attenuation of ALDH1A1 led to increased invasive capacity and metastatic potential, the inhibition of proliferation activity, and ultimately ...

Leading order corrections to the quantum extremal surface prescription
We show that a naïve application of the quantum extremal surface (QES) prescription can lead to paradoxical results and must be corrected at leading order.

Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Modular curves and Mordell-Weil torsion in F-theory
In this work we prove a bound for the torsion in Mordell-Weil groups of smooth elliptically fibered Calabi-Yau 3- and 4-folds. In particular, we show that the set of torsion groups which can occur on a smooth elliptic Calabi-Yau n-fold is contained in ...

Amino acids sequence of two different proteins with the same sequence (chameleon sequence—black boxes) represent in 3D structure of the proteins different secondary structures: HHHH—helical and BBB—Beta‐structural. The chains folded in water environment adopt different III‐order structures in which the chameleon fragments appear to adopt similar status

Extreme value laws for fractal intensity functions in dynamical systems: Minkowski analysis
Typically, in the dynamical theory of extremal events, the function that gauges the intensity of a phenomenon is assumed to be convex and maximal, or singular, at a single, or at most a finite collection of points in phase--space.

This protocol paper outlines methods to establish the success of a time‐resolved serial crystallographic experiment, by means of statistical analysis of timepoint data in reciprocal space and models in real space. We show how to amplify the signal from excited states to visualise structural changes in successful experiments.
