Topological stars, black holes and generalized charged Weyl solutions

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2021
We construct smooth static bubble solutions, denoted as topological stars, in five-dimensional Einstein-Maxwell theories which are asymptotic to ℝ1,3×S1. The bubbles are supported by allowing electromagnetic fluxes to wrap smooth topological cycles.

Non-minimally coupled multi-scalar black holes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
We study the static, spherically symmetric black hole solutions for a non-minimally coupled multi-scalar theory. We find numerical solutions for values of the scalar fields when a certain constraint on the maximal charge is satisfied.

Initial Value Problem For Nonlinear Fractional Differential Equations With ψ-Caputo Derivative Via Monotone Iterative Technique

open access: yesAxioms, 2020
In this article, we discuss the existence and uniqueness of extremal solutions for nonlinear initial value problems of fractional differential equations involving the ψ -Caputo derivative. Moreover, some uniqueness results are obtained.

Excited States of Maximal Warm Holes

open access: yesUniverse, 2023
Recently, the Einstein–Maxwell–scalar model with a non-minimal coupling between the scalar and Maxwell fields was explored. As a result, a new class of black hole solutions with scalar hair was discovered.

Conformal bootstrap deformations

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2022
We explore the space of extremal functionals in the conformal bootstrap. By recasting the bootstrap problem as a set of non-linear equations parameterized by the CFT data, we find an efficient algorithm for converging to the extremal solution ...

Short proofs of some extremal results [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
We prove several results from different areas of extremal combinatorics, giving complete or partial solutions to a number of open problems. These results, coming from areas such as extremal graph theory, Ramsey theory and additive combinatorics, have ...

Clinical Insights Into Hypercalcemia of Malignancy in Childhood

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Hypercalcemia of malignancy (HCM) is a rare but life‐threatening metabolic emergency in children that occurs in less than 1% of pediatric cancer cases, with a reported incidence ranging from 0.4% to 1.0% across different studies. While it is observed in 10%–20% of adult malignancies, pediatric HCM remains relatively uncommon.

Extremal rotating black holes in Einstein-Maxwell-Chern-Simons theory: radially excited solutions and non-uniqueness

open access: yes, 2015
We study 5-dimensional black holes in Einstein-Maxwell-Chern-Simons theory with free Chern-Simons coupling parameter. We consider an event horizon with spherical topology, and both angular momenta of equal magnitude.

Harmonic superpositions of non-extremal p-branes [PDF]

open access: yes, 1997
The plot of allowed p and D values for p-brane solitons in D-dimensional supergravity is the same whether the solitons are extremal or non-extremal.
