ABSTRACT Background Japan has one of the highest dialysis prevalence rates worldwide and a shrinking, aging population. Whether dialysis burden has entered a sustained post‐peak phase or whether recent declines partly reflect pandemic‐related disruptions remains uncertain.

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Extremal solutions and relaxation for second order vector differential inclusions [PDF]
summary:In this paper we consider periodic and Dirichlet problems for second order vector differential inclusions. First we show the existence of extremal solutions of the periodic problem (i.e.

Extremal Solutions of Nonlinear Impulsive Integrodifferential Equations in Banach Spaces
In this paper, we combine the monotone iterative technique with fixed point theory to investigate the extremal solutions of nonlinear impulsive integrodifferential equations in Banach spaces.

Existence of extremal solutions for quadratic fuzzy equations [PDF]
Some results on the existence of solution for certain fuzzy equations are revised and extended. In this paper, we establish the existence of a solution for the fuzzy equation , where , , , and are positive fuzzy numbers satisfying certain conditions ...

Non-extremal superdescendants of the D1D5 CFT
We construct solutions of IIB supergravity dual to non-supersymmetric states of the D1D5 system. These solutions are constructed as perturbations carrying both left and right moving momentum around the maximally rotating D1D5 ground state at linear order.

The human gut microbiome across the life course
Despite significant individual variation and continuous change throughout life, the human gut microbiome follows some life stage‐specific trends. This article provides a brief overview of how gut microbiome composition shifts across different phases of life. Created in BioRender. Özkurt, E. (2026) https://BioRender.com/8q4nrnc.

Extremal Solutions in Systems of Variational Inequalities with Multivalued Mappings
In this paper, we use a sub-supersolution method to study systems of variational inequalities of the form: (Formula presented), where k and k are multivalued mappings with possibly non-power growths and Kk is a closed, convex set.
