On the extreme power of nonstandard programming languages [PDF]
Suenaga and Hasuo introduced a nonstandard programming language ${\bf While}^{{\bf dt}}$ which models hybrid systems. We demonstrate why ${\bf While}^{{\bf dt}}$ is not suitable for modeling actual computations.

Applying XP Ideas Formally: The Story Card and Extreme X-Machines [PDF]
By gathering requirements on story cards extreme programming (XP) makes requirements collection easy. However it is less clear how the story cards are translated into a finished product.

Improved extreme programming methodology with inbuilt security [PDF]
Security in e-commerce is becoming an important issue to deal with as several cases of attacks to users' data are increasing exponentially. Therefore, there is absolute need for proper checks and balances to mitigate the lapses using the appropriate ...

Multiple Objective Linear Programming (MOLP) Problems with the Same Objective Space
Under the linear mapping efficient extreme points in decision space of multiple objectives linear programming (MOLP) may not map to non dominated extreme points in objective space, condition that two or even more multiple objective linear programming ...

Deadlock detection in linear recursive programs [PDF]
Deadlock detection in recursive programs that admit dynamic resource creation is extremely complex and solutions either give imprecise answers or do not scale. We define an algorithm for detecting deadlocks of "linear recursive programs" of a basic model.

Extremal problems in logic programming and stable model computation [PDF]
We study the following problem: given a class of logic programs C, determine the maximum number of stable models of a program from C. We establish the maximum for the class of all logic programs with at most n clauses, and for the class of all logic programs of size at most n. We also characterize the programs for which the maxima are attained.

A Language and Hardware Independent Approach to Quantum-Classical Computing
Heterogeneous high-performance computing (HPC) systems offer novel architectures which accelerate specific workloads through judicious use of specialized coprocessors.

Quantitative Survey on Extreme Programming Projects [PDF]
In recent years the Extreme Programming (XP) community has grown substantially. Many XP projects have started and a substantial amount are already finished. As the interest in the XP approach is constantly increasing worldwide throughout all software intensive application domains, it was time to start a first survey on XP.

Quality Assurance in Extreme Programming [PDF]
Our previous research about possible quality improvements in Extreme Programming (XP) led us to a conclusion that XP supports many good engineering practices but there is still place for refinements. Our proposal was to add dedicated Quality Assurance (
