Collodion Skin Disease and Everted Eyelids

Collodion skin disease usually affects premature infants. They have tight, thin skin like parchment and hold their faces immobile. Their eyelids are either sealed tight or everted. The case reported here, of a boy born with typical skin changes and everted lids, responded to conservative treatment.

Upper Eyelid Retraction and Graves' Disease

Ten upper eyelids of patients with lid retraction due to Graves' disease were treated by levator marginal myotomies. The most common clinical abnormalities were thickening and fatty infiltration of the levator, with adhesions to the orbicularis muscle and the orbital septum.
