Fast rate of convergence in high dimensional linear discriminant analysis
This paper gives a theoretical analysis of high dimensional linear discrimination of Gaussian data. We study the excess risk of linear discriminant rules.

Radiotherapy induces tumor cells to release microparticles (RT‐MPs) into the circulation. The mitochondrial DNA carried by these RT‐MPs activates the STING/NLRP3/GSDMD axis in splenic neutrophils, triggering IL‐1β secretion. This, in turn, enhances dendritic cell function and facilitates the formation of cytotoxic T lymphocytes, thereby promoting ...

Exploring protandry and pupal size selection for Aedes albopictus sex separation [PDF]
Background: We explored the possibility to improve male/female separation (sexing) in Aedes albopictus by selection of two strains, one toward increasing sex dimorphism and another toward increasing protandry.

This study identifies L‐type calcium channel blockers as novel ferroptosis inhibitors. It reveals that PKCβ, activated in calcium dependent manner, phosphorylates and activates ACSL4 and ALOX15, relocating them to lipid droplets to promote lethal lipid peroxidation and ferroptosis.

The major drawback of current anti-angiogenic therapies is drug resistance, mainly caused by overexpression of the transcription factor, hypoxia-inducible factor 1α (HIF-1α) as a result of treatment-induced hypoxia, which stimulates cancer cells to ...

Oncolytic Probiotics with Molecular Pili for Solid Tumor Therapy
This study identifies Lactobacillus rhamnosus as an intrinsic oncolytic agent that triggers tumor metabolic collapse via calcium‐dependent ROS bursts. By chemically anchoring collagen‐targeting “molecular pili” to the bacterial surface, the engineered non‐transgenic probiotic (LR@MP) achieves targeted colonization and potent solid tumor suppression ...

Force and torque acting on particles in a transitionally rough open channel flow
Direct numerical simulation of open channel flow over a geometrically rough wall has been performed at a bulk Reynolds number of approximately 2900. The wall consisted of a layer of spheres in a square arrangement. Two cases have been considered.

Two-loop neutrino masses with large R-parity violating interactions in supersymmetry [PDF]
We attempt to reconcile large trilinear R-parity violating interactions in a supersymmetric (SUSY) theory with the observed pattern of neutrino masses and mixing.
