Outflows in rho Ophiuchi as Seen with the Spitzer Infrared Array Camera

open access: yes, 2009
Using the IRAC images from the Spitzer c2d program, we have made a survey of mid-infrared outflows in the rho Ophiuchi molecular cloud. Extended objects that have prominent emission in IRAC channel 2 (4.5 micron) compared to IRAC channel 1 (3.6 micron ...

STAID: A Self‐Refining Deep Learning Framework for Spatial Cell‐Type Deconvolution with Biologically Informed Modeling

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
STAID is a unified deep learning framework that couples iterative pseudo‐spot refinement with neural network training through a feedback loop and exploits gene co‐expression information to model higher‐order interactions, achieving accurate and robust cell‐type deconvolution in spatial transcriptomics.

Exploring protandry and pupal size selection for Aedes albopictus sex separation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Background: We explored the possibility to improve male/female separation (sexing) in Aedes albopictus by selection of two strains, one toward increasing sex dimorphism and another toward increasing protandry.

Non‐Uniform Space‐Time‐Coding Modulation for Low‐Complexity Diagnostics of Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
A diagnostic method for reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (RIS) based on non‐uniform space‐time‐coding modulation is presented. Fault localization is achieved via amplitude‐only spectral measurements, eliminating the need for complex signal processing. A one‐to‐one mapping between harmonic components and RIS elements enables accurate detection.

In Quantum Computing Speedup Illusory?: The False Coin of "Counting Function Evaluations"

open access: yes, 2020
By using a new way to encode Boolean functions in a reversible gate, an algorithm is developed in quantum computing over Z_2, symbolized QC/2, (as opposed to QC over C) that needs only one function evaluation to solve the Grover Database Search Problem ...

Therapeutic Applications of Stimuli‐Based Release and Engineering of Extracellular Vesicles

open access: yesAdvanced NanoBiomed Research, EarlyView.
This review summarizes the effects of endogenous and exogenous stimuli, their effects on the natural release of extracellular vesicles, as well as their uptake and release. It also gives an overview of stimuli‐responsive EVs and their therapeutic applications. Extracellular vesicles (EVs), nano‐ to microsized lipid bilayer membrane‐bound particles, are

A three-loop test of the dilatation operator in N=4 SYM

open access: yes, 2005
We compute the three-loop anomalous dimension of the BMN operators with charges J=0 (the Konishi multiplet) and J=1 in N=4 super-Yang-Mills theory. We employ a method which effectively reduces the calculation to two loops.

STAT3-siRNA induced B16.F10 melanoma cell death: more association with VEGF downregulation than p-STAT3 knockdown

open access: yesSaudi Pharmaceutical Journal, 2018
STAT3 knockdown by small interfering RNA (siRNA) has been described to inhibit carcinogenic growth in various types of tumors. Earlier we have reported delivery of siRNA by oleic acid- and stearic acid-modified-polyethylenimine and enhancement of ...

Fast rate of convergence in high dimensional linear discriminant analysis

open access: yes, 2010
This paper gives a theoretical analysis of high dimensional linear discrimination of Gaussian data. We study the excess risk of linear discriminant rules.
