How does the monetary transmission mechanism work? Evidence from Turkey

open access: yesBorsa Istanbul Review, 2020
This paper reveals how monetary transmission works in Turkey under an explicit inflation-targeting regime implemented since the beginning of 2006. We build various vector autoregression (VAR) models and show that the central bank's main policy tool ...

Coherent chemical kinetics as quantum walks II: Radical-pair reactions in Arabidopsis thaliana

open access: yes, 2015
We apply the quantum-walk approach recently proposed in arXiv:quant-ph-1506.04213 to a radical-pair reaction where realistic estimates for the intermediate transition rates are available.

Lossless Information‐Based Dimensionality Reduction of Comprehensive Features With a Deep Variational Autoencoder Enables Early‐Life Prediction of Lithium‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesCarbon Neutralization, Volume 5, Issue 1, January 2026.
This paper presents a dimensionality reduction approach that minimizes feature redundancy while retaining essential information, simplifying subsequent model training. Starting with a complete feature set to capture aging characteristics, we reduced it to 10 key features, resulting in a maximum reconstruction mean squared error (MSE) of 0.02139.

Neural Dynamics of Social Cognition: A Single‐Trial Computational Analysis of Learning Under Uncertainty

open access: yesHuman Brain Mapping, Volume 47, Issue 1, January 2026.
We apply a hierarchical Bayesian model to single‐trial EEG data from an advice‐taking task, demonstrating that EEG activity closely mirrors the predicted sequence of prediction errors and precision signals. Additionally, source‐localised activity in the fusiform gyrus and posterior cingulate cortex covaried with participants' psychosocial functioning ...

Place Matters to Life After Return: Investigating Second‐Generation ‘Return’ to Different Locations in Turkey

open access: yesPopulation, Space and Place, Volume 32, Issue 1, January 2026.
ABSTRACT Turkish migration to Germany has been the largest‐scale labour migration in postwar Europe, yet scant attention has been paid to the return flow to Turkey, and even less to the second generation's ‘return’. This paper rectifies this oversight and focuses specifically on the role of place in shaping the post‐return experiences of the second ...

Defining Critical Emergency Medicine (CrEM): A Delphi Study From Scandinavia

open access: yesActa Anaesthesiologica Scandinavica, Volume 70, Issue 1, January 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Critical emergency medicine (CrEM) is one of four subspecialty pillars within anesthesiology and intensive care medicine, as defined by the Scandinavian Society of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine (SSAI). Despite its recognized clinical relevance, a comprehensive definition of CrEM has until now been lacking.
