Effects of Pluronic F68 and Labrasol on the intestinal absorption and pharmacokinetics of rifampicin in rats

Archives of Pharmacal Research, 2011
The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of Pluronic F68 and Labrasol on the intestinal absorption and pharmacokinetics of rifampicin. Intestinal permeability of rifampicin with or without excipients was evaluated by an in situ single-pass perfusion method.

Effect of Pluronic F68 and phospholipids liposomes modified with Pluronic F68 on the human neutrophils functional activity

Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences
The sizes of Pluronic F68 micelles in water and phosphate-buffered saline (pH 7.4) were determined using dynamic light scattering. Micelles formation was observed at Pluronic F68 concentrations of 0.7 wt % and higher, with particle sizes not exceeding 5 nm.

Drug release from Pluronic F68 hydrogels

open access: yesPhysics of Fluids
The evaluation of drug percutaneous absorption plays a pivotal role in assessing the efficacy of dermal/transdermal drug delivery systems. Drug therapies rely on biomedical systems capable of precisely regulating drug dosage, controlling the rate of drug release, and mitigating the common side effects associated with many drug delivery formulations ...

Crystallization of F68 micelles

Superlattices and Microstructures, 2007
Abstract Three block copolymers offer a model system for the study of crystallization as they aggregate in aqueous solutions and for high concentrations into micelles, which crystallize as a critical volume fraction is reached. Neutron reflectivity and grazing incident small angle neutron scattering (GISANS) or near surface small angle neutron ...

Effect of pluronic-F68 on the development of tumor metastasis

Cancer, 1972
Walker 256 tumor cells were administered intravenously to rats. Treatment with PLF68 decreased the incidence of pulmonary metastasis, probably secondary to its effect on coagulation.

Development and characterization of bicalutamide-poloxamer F68 solid dispersion systems

Die Pharmazie, 2008
The objective of the present work was to improve the dissolution rate of a poorly water-soluble drug, bicalutamide, by a solid dispersion technique. The solid dispersion systems of bicalutamide were prepared with poloxamer F68 in 1 : 1, 1 : 3, and 1 : 5 ratios using the melting method.

The Cardiovascular Effects of the Surfactant Pluronic F68 in Anesthetized Dogs

1990
We tested the cardiovascular actions of the surfactant Pluronic F68 by infusing it into anesthetized dogs, in doses approximating those which would be received when Fluosol-DA were used to resuscitate moderate or severe hemorrhage (0.66 and 1.11 g/Kg).

Reduction of splenic vascular resistance during perfusion by pluronic F68

Journal of Surgical Research, 1968
Abstract Pluronic F68 (a nonionic surface-active agent) has been shown to decrease the vascular resistance in a series of 10 pig spleens perfused with human blood. Addition of Pluronic F68 produced a vascular resistance during heterologous perfusion comparable to that noted during homologous perfusion.

The preparation of calcium carbonate crystals in pluronic F68 solution

Journal of Molecular Liquids, 2012
Abstract Nonionic pluronic amphiphilic triblock copolymer F68 was employed to control the growth of calcium carbonate in a biomineralization process. The effects of the concentrations of F68, Ca2+ and CO32−, pH values and temperatures were investigated systematically. The as-obtained CaCO3 particles were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (
