The Maintenance of Dysmyelinated Small‐Diameter Axons by 14‐3‐3s in the Central Nervous System
Dysmyelinated small‐diameter axons are maintained in teneurin‐4 deficient mice at the age of 1 year, while axonal damage is observed. 14‐3‐3s are highly expressed and suppress the progression of the damage in these axons. ABSTRACT In the central nervous system, myelin formed around nerve axons by oligodendrocyte enables efficient conduction of action ...

Different effects of two Poloxamers (L61 and F68) on the conductance of bilayer lipid membranes
The integral conductance of planar lipid bilayer membranes in the presence of two Poloxamers (Pluronics) L61 and F68 with the same lengths of hydrophobic poly(propylene oxide) blocks and the different lengths of hydrophilic poly(ethylene oxide) blocks ...

Effect of Pluronic F68 on Growth of Fibroblasts in Suspension on Rotary Shaker
SummaryA medium composed of the defined solution S103 supplemented with 20% horse serum yields a noncellular precipitate when agitated on a rotary shaker. This precipitation results in loss of from 25 to 100% of growth-promoting activity of the medium for strain U12-29 fibroblasts in shake cultures.
