A case of monostotic, mandibular fibrous dysplasia has been described in a 22-year-old Amerasian male, who had facial asymmetry of approximately 5 years' duration. Foci of ill-defined sclerotic, pagetoid calcifications were seen on routine film. The CT scans demonstrated bone facial and slight lingual expansion of bone with thinning of the cortex.

Assessing Facial Asymmetry in Postoperative Patients With Unilateral Coronal Craniosynostosis.
The Journal of craniofacial surgery (Print), 2020BACKGROUND Despite surgical correction of unilateral craniosynostosis (ULC), complex cranial base angulation can result in partial reversion to preoperative deformity with growth and time. Using 3-dimensional imaging, dysmorphic facial features of ULC in

Background: Facial asymmetry caused by unilateral condylar hyperplasia requires treatment to address facial and occlusal imbalances. There is no definitive evidence to suggest that a single intervention strategy (during either active condylar overgrowth ...

Management of Facial Asymmetry
Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Clinics of North America, 2007Asymmetries of the craniofacial region encompass a multitude of diverse and potentially complex abnormalities that may be the result of numerous causes. The expression and degree of asymmetry for a given condition, although a highly variable process, is the ultimate determinant of the nature of its treatment.

PURPOSE Morphologic differences and surgical outcomes were compared between the ipsilateral type of facial asymmetry, in which the menton deviates to the side of the upward frontal occlusal plane (FOP) cant (FOPUP), and the contralateral type, in which ...

Facial Asymmetry in Partial Epilepsies
Epilepsia, 1992Summary: Fifty‐six consecutive epileptic patients with partial seizures (30 temporal, 26 extratemporal) and facial asymmetry were studied. Facial asymmetry was compared with EEG, radiologic, and other clinical findings. Thirty patients had a lesional epilepsy whereas 26 were considered cryptogenic.

Facial asymmetry versus facial makeup
2018 IEEE 8th Annual Computing and Communication Workshop and Conference (CCWC), 2018Variations in facial appearance resulting from the application of ordinary makeup products, such as eyeliner and lipstick, are challenging for automated facial recognition. This work studies the potential of using the measurement of the inherent asymmetry between the two halves of a person's face presented in [18] as a helpful feature to overcome this ...
