Microstructure Evolution of a VMnFeCoNi High‐Entropy Alloy After Synthesis, Swaging, and Annealing

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The synthesis and processing (rotary swaging and annealing) of the novel VMnFeCoNi alloy is investigated, alongside the estimation of the grain size effect on hardness. Analysis of a wide grain size range of recrystallized microstructures (12–210 µm) reveals a low annealing twin density.

Hydrogen‐Assisted Fracture of Iron‐Based Fe–Ni–Al Alloys

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Principal relations and fracture mechanisms of single‐phase and precipitate‐strengthened Fe–Ni–Al alloys subjected to prior electrochemical hydrogen charging are identified. The mechanisms of hydrogen effect on strength and microhardness are discussed, including hydrogen‐induced increase in microhardness and the role of hydrogen in fracture behavior ...

Facial Expression Recognition Using Facial Graph

open access: yes, 2015
Automatic analysis of human facial expression is one of the challenging problems in machine vision systems. It has many applications in human-computer interactions, social robots, deceit detection, interactive video and behavior monitoring. In this paper, we developed a new method for automatic facial expression recognition based on verifying movable ...

Facial recognition — An overview

Information Security Technical Report, 1998
Abstract Research on automatic facial recognition has been ongoing for more than 20 years, and there is a large variety of solutions being proposed. The big advantage is the user-friendly way of identification by a video camera. Recently, some of the projects have resulted in commercially available products which are in use in banking and high ...

Facial expression recognition

2004 IEEE International Conference on Systems, Man and Cybernetics (IEEE Cat. No.04CH37583), 2005
The paper aims at recognizing the various human facial expressions. Every countenance is marked by changes in the feature points of the face. These feature points are located in various regions of the face. There are two phases in the facial expression recognition technique described here.

Facial Expression Recognition

2015 Annual IEEE India Conference (INDICON), 2015
Facial expression recognition, due to its wide research areas become active research topic. This paper presents comparative analysis of automatic Facial Expression Recognition by compensating effect of age on the recognition process by Weighted Least Square filtering. System uses Gabor filter and Log Gabor filter to extract facial features.

Digital Photogrammetry for Facial Recognition

Journal of Computing and Information Science in Engineering, 2006
In this paper, the authors present a biometric low-cost 3D acquisition system, based on a digital photogrammetry technique. The aim of the work is to analyze the suitability of this system for facial recognition purposes. The facial data of a set of 20 people were acquired with the photogrammetric system developed by the authors, and different CAD 3D ...
