The Effects of Spermine and Spermidine on the Interactions of Human Factors IXa, Xa, XIa, and IIa wi [PDF]
Heparin is a common anticoagulant used in hospitals that has been found to promote the interaction of human factor IXa with Anti-Thrombin III, creating a [IXa-ATIII] complex when put through electrophoresis.

ABSTRACT Introduction Antithrombin has the function of a natural anticoagulant. It is the main component of the inhibitory anticoagulant system, which, under physiological conditions, opposes the procoagulant mechanisms of hemostasis, preventing the occurrence of a hypercoagulable state, the development of thrombosis, and thromboembolic complications ...

OBJECTIVES Heparin and protamine are standard for anticoagulation and reversal for cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB). The REGADO biosciences protocol 1 (REG1) anticoagulant system, consisting of the Factor IXa (FIXa)-inhibitor pegnivacogin and its reversal ...

Comparative interactions of factor IX and factor IXa with human platelets
Both factor IX and factor IXa were bound to gel filtered platelets in the presence of CaCl2 (2-20 mM) and human alpha-thrombin (0.06-0.2 units/ml) with maximal binding occurring in 10-20 min at 37 degrees C, and rapid reversibility was observed when unlabeled ligands were added in 100-fold molar excess.

The Kinematic Algebras from the Scattering Equations [PDF]
We study kinematic algebras associated to the recently proposed scattering equations, which arise in the description of the scattering of massless particles.

Critical current and stability effects between 0 and 6 tesla in mono and multifilamentary NbTi conductors having a CuNi matrix [PDF]
We investigated the current carrying capacities of ten NbTi superconductors having a CuNi matrix with diameters between 50 and 300 ¿m as function of an applied magnetic field of 0 to 6 tesla.

A Single‐Center Study on Frontline Treatment for Multiple Myeloma Patients With 1q Abnormalities
ABSTRACT Introduction Chromosome 1q copy gains (with‐1q‐gain) is a frequently observed genetic abnormality in multiple myeloma (MM) patients. Recent research has demonstrated that 1q gain is a prognostic factor, linked to poorer clinical outcomes. Methods This study was conducted at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre to examine the clinical outcomes ...

On Non-linear Action for Gauged M2-brane [PDF]
We propose a non-linear extension of U(1) \times U(1) (abelian) ABJM model including T_{M2} (higher derivative) corrections. The action proposed here is expected to describe a single M2-brane proving C^4/Z_k target space.

The Gla Domain of Factor IXa Binds to Factor VIIIa in the Tenase Complex [PDF]
During blood coagulation factor IXa binds to factor VIIIa on phospholipid membranes to form an enzymatic complex, the tenase complex. To test whether there is a protein-protein contact site between the gamma-carboxyglutamic acid (Gla) domain of factor IXa and factor VIIIa, we demonstrated that an antibody to the Gla domain of factor IXa inhibited ...
