Anti-thrombotic effect of a factor Xa inhibitor TAK-442 in a rabbit model of arteriovenous shunt thrombosis stimulated with tissue factor

open access: yesBMC Research Notes, 2018
Objective Arterial thrombosis is triggered by tissue factor, which is a transmembrane glycoprotein can be released into the blood circulation after plaque rupture.

Engineered factor Xa variants retain procoagulant activity independent of direct factor Xa inhibitors [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
The absence of an adequate reversal strategy to prevent and stop potential life-threatening bleeding complications is a major drawback to the clinical use of the direct oral inhibitors of blood coagulation factor Xa.

SR‐A3 Promotes USP18‐Mediated deISGylation of STING to Protect Against Myocardial Ischemia‐Reperfusion Injury

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
MI/RI is a major clinical challenge with high morbidity and mortality. This study demonstrates that SR‐A3 expression is downregulated in MI/RI, and its deletion exacerbates damage via the USP18/ISG15/STING axis, revealing SR‐A3 as a potential therapeutic target.

Direct factor Xa inhibitors and the risk of cancer and cancer mortality: A Danish population-based cohort study.

open access: yesPLoS Medicine
BackgroundPreclinical animal studies have suggested that myeloid cell-synthesized coagulation factor X dampens antitumor immunity and that rivaroxaban, a direct factor Xa inhibitor, can be used to promote tumor immunity. This study was aimed at assessing

CRYSTALLIZATION AND PRELIMINARY CRYSTALLOGRAPHIC ANALYSIS OF ANTISTASIN, A LEECH-DERIVED INHIBITOR OF BLOOD-COAGULATION FACTOR-XA [PDF]

open access: yes, 1993
The three-dimensional structure of antistasin, a potent inhibitor of blood coagulation factor Xa, from the Mexican leech Haementeria officinalis was determined at 1.9 Å resolution by X-ray crystallography.

FOXP1 Knockdown Reprograms Th9 CAR‐T Cells to Overcome Antigen Escape

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
FOXP1 knockdown enhances Th9 CAR‐T cell function by promoting IL‐9 production, effector activation, and reduced exhaustion. Reprogrammed Th9 CAR‐T cells strengthen direct tumor killing and activate endogenous antitumor immunity through dendritic cells and CD8+ T cells, thereby suppressing both antigen‐positive and antigen‐loss tumor growth and ...

The Severity of Intracranial Hemorrhages Measured by Free Hemoglobin in the Brain Depends on the Anticoagulant Class: Experimental Data

open access: yesStroke Research and Treatment, 2017
Background and Purpose. Anticoagulant therapy is broadly used to prevent thromboembolic events. Intracranial hemorrhages are serious complications of anticoagulation, especially with warfarin.

Non‐Invasively Quantitative Raman Imaging for Calculation of Lymphatic Transport Kinetics of Micelles in Mice

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Non‐invasively quantitative Raman imaging with stacking‐induced charge transfer‐enhanced Raman scattering (SICTERS) enables accurate measurement of concentrations and pharmacokinetic modeling of lymphatic transport of micelles in mice. This platform allows dynamic analysis of nanoparticle transport and underpins the design of effective lymph node ...

Hybrid Metal–Organic Framework‐Derived Dual Active Site Catalysts Enabling Surface‐Enriched Cathode and Modified Zinc Anode for Long‐Life Zinc–Air Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work demonstrates the implementation of MOF‐assisted anode and cathode materials for prolonged cycling of zinc‐air batteries with strong redox capability and structural stability. ABSTRACT The surface modification of zinc anodes and the development of effective cathode dual‐functional oxygen electrocatalysts remain of paramount interest for ...

Lactylation‐Driven PROS1‐TYRO3‐CARF Signaling Promotes Therapy‐Induced Senescence Escape and Radioresistance in Meningioma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A glycolysis‐driven epigenetic switch promotes therapy resistance in meningioma. Increased lactate production enhances histone H3K27 lactylation, which activates PROS1 secretion. Secreted PROS1 engages TYRO3 signaling to degrade the senescence regulator CARF, allowing cancer cells to escape growth arrest.
