Acquired Antibody to Factor XI in a Patient with Congenital Factor XI Deficiency [PDF]
The results of studies in a patient with congenital deficiency of Factor XI who developed an inhibitor are presented. The patient presented with a severe, apparently spontaneous bleed into the thigh, which progressed despite infusion of fresh frozen plasma, but which responded promptly to activated prothrombin complex.

Fast Computation of Fourier Integral Operators [PDF]
We introduce a general purpose algorithm for rapidly computing certain types of oscillatory integrals which frequently arise in problems connected to wave propagation and general hyperbolic equations.

Factor XI deficiency in women [PDF]
Factor XI (FXI) deficiency is an uncommon autosomally transmitted coagulopathy found predominantly in Jewish kindreds. It is associated with variable bleeding tendency that usually manifests after trauma, surgery, or other challenges to hemostasis. Therefore, women with FXI deficiency are at risk of excessive bleeding during their menstrual periods ...

Comparison of bleeding tendency, factor XI coagulant activity, and factor XI antigen in 25 factor XI-deficient kindreds [PDF]
The relationship of clinical bleeding tendency and factor XI antigen (XI:Ag) in factor XI deficiency was studied in 78 members of 25 factor XI-deficient kindreds. Factor XI:Ag was measured in a competitive radioimmunoassay, using monospecific, heterologous anti-factor XI antibody.

Anaesthesia management of caesarean section in a patient with severe factor XI deficiency
Factor XI deficiency is a rare coagulation disorder associated with bleeding tendency and prolonged APTT. Parturients can have increased bleeding during vaginal delivery or cesarean section.

Perioperative care of an adolescent with factor XI deficiency during posterior spinal fusion. [PDF]
Factor XI (FXI) deficiency (Rosenthal disease or hemo- philia C) is a uncommon autosomal recessive bleeding disorder. Clinical signs and symptoms of factor XI de- ficiency are generally limited; however, significant bleeding may occur following trauma or

High Frequency Conductivity in the Quantum Hall Regime [PDF]
We have measured the complex conductivity $\sigma_{xx}$ of a two-dimensional electron system in the quantum Hall regime up to frequencies of 6 GHz at electron temperatures below 100 mK.

Double logarithms resummation in exclusive processes : the surprising behavior of DVCS
Double logarithms resummation has been much studied in inclusive as well as exclusive processes. The Sudakov mechanism has often be the crucial tool to exponentiate potentially large contributions to amplitudes or cross-sections near phase-space ...
